My entire familly (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, ect.) is and always was with Aoun...
The only difference between 2005 and 2009 is that back then, none of them voted, whereas they're all very excited to vote the next time...
So, no change... We still havent figured out how to go down the evolution ladder... | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Tararamtamtam For This Useful Post: | | | Registered Member

However, there are general policies and principles, and they differ much from one group to the other. At some point, voting for individuals could have made sense, but not now. | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

Guys whoever thinks that the result of 2009 will be exactly as the 2005 ones is delusional. Too much happened, events, war, propaganda, killings, street fights..... Whoever thinks that our voting base is as is is wrong. We definitely lost many people, how much I can't say, but probably between 5 and 15%. Now what is also something to consider is that many people who could not vote last time because they were under age will vote this time, and many of those will vote for FPM.
I do not expect a 70% next elections, but I really do not care. In the Metn by-elections, we won over 400 votes, I do not care what they said, bottom line is, Khoury is an MP and Amin a3id bi beito. So in 2009, I want to win, by how much I do not care. | | | | | Registered Member

A 400 votes difference wouldn't have sent Amine home (or FPM in another case) | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

the majority wont vote this time.. or await to see if a good independent shows up. well this is what we are encouraging them to do and this is what they will most probably do. | i am not here to dispute your figures
but that will be first in the history of lebanon that 50 people all changed their minds is politics.regardless of whom they support, it is just unheard of
tell me half, one third i will say ok, but all that is just unbeleivable.
i am not talking about FPM but about any party.
people in lebanon do not easily changes their political minds, and none really is neutral as some polls like to claim.just maybe a bit shy or like privacy or to avoid arguments.
especially FPM, honestly i have not met someone who used to like GMA that he hates him now, maybe a small 3atab but to dislke him, i have never met anyone ( not politicians like mahfoud, zeghbi) i am speaking of your average person. | | | | | | |
