if we have to talk sectarian, Lebanese Christians are very weak, specially after Christian districts who hold the key of the one who was going to form the new government preferred the Saudi wahhabi Saad bin Abih to Aoun. So to obtain the share he is demanding, the uncontested Christian leader, Michel Aoun, has no choice but to rely on HA support.

PS: some here say that FPM is extremely disadvantaged by the election law. If so, why did FPM insist for having it? Wasn't it an FPM slogan that FPM rajja3 el 72u2 la S7abo with this sectarian election law?

This is the reality, you want to hide it? Go for it! I don't like to talk this way, but this is the result of the elections! Using the law 1960 wasn't a surprise to get sectarian elections & results!
No offense!

In Daw7a, opposition imposed 1960 law only to please FPM electorate street. Most of FPMers posting here expressed back then in their post their preference for a sectarian law like 1960 one that gives more weight for Christian votes

No, check back General Aoun speech about the law and what law is fairness! I think that you forget 7 May Events. Anyway, FPM agreed on 1960 law with reform

FPM LOST On maronite level in Beirut 1, Maten, Zahle and many other places ( Batroun..).
What helped you is the armenian votes, plus catholics to lower extent.
Orthodox were in the middle. In keserwen the maronite difference wasnt huge, but there was 7 % non-maronite votes which came to your side.

Let us deal with our own issues and deal with yours.
FYI this is not a loss but a victory. With all the money spent by Hariri & Co and the 90000 expats, the expectations were to beat us in Kesrwan, Jbeil, and Metn ... And to get one or 2 in Zghorta.
So you can't talk about losing and make your analysis like this.
Yes, you got the majority and I do agree that you played smarter your cards and strategies. Open budget was a huge factor (imagine a guy like Michel Moawad who spent millions and yet lost.. but who cares, he didn't earn this money first place)...
Then I do agree that you were huge in public opinion play. You hit, hit and hit an as Goebbles strategy, something have sticked on some people's mind.
But this will not last long when the truth will be shining to those who failed to the fear factor.
In the mean time, enjoy you victory as it is surely a one man's victory: Saad Hariri. It is not Lfers. neither kataebis nor March 14. It is Saad Hariri....

Amazing... how desparate FPMers are, trying to re-interpret numbers and re-analyze them from different angles so that they can appear to their "sheeps" as marginal winner... folks, you have lost the majority and you have lost the Christian street. Those are the two objectives we had set-out to prove and we made our point clear and loud... Live with it and we will see you in 2013.

If you want to brainwash yourselves that you won so you can feel better, and sleep better, please by all means. But you are on your own!!

Now, let us get on with the business of running the country, your friend Saad will be our proud PM!!!
