Just wait for the GMA not to be with us anymore "God forbid", then you will see the bickering will start in FPM.
I am living in Canada since 1993 , I achieved more than what my father could not acheive in 50 years.

it is just matter of time.

Personally, I am happy with Lebanon the way it is, I'm not planning to leave, I don't think I'll have a problem finding a job, 2aslan I have lots of wassayet just in case , In the worst case I'll end up a school teacher which is not bad. I think the only place I might ever consider going to is to Khalij if a certain opportunity was available to work for a couple of years and make a reasonable amount of money....

Anyway, I have been hearing about a looooooot of people who are coming back to Lebanon these past few month, I think that's rather a bad thing, Lebanon is already surpopulated and it's main source of income is the money of its expatriates :S

I know lots of families who went back to Lebanon (from Canada). They said that they are going to live there for two years; if they like it like will stay there and if not, they will just come back. and Guess what! 2 years have passed and they are still there. you won't feel the difference between living in lebanon and living outside unless you try them both.

Walla ya habboob my cousin got a visa to Canada with all her family,
guess what? she let it go and stayed in Lebanon, she is doing very very well.
so if someone had a bad luck in lebanon doesn't mean that leb is not good.

There must be some circumstances that let them let go however if they are doing very very well then i should congratulate them really because they took a brave decision. Lebanon is not really that good though!

well done , canada must be happy with all the taxes u paid and the boost u gave to their economy. your dad worked hard just to stay in lebanon unfortunelty dirty politiciand who steal all the money and unevenly distribute opportunities stopped him from acheiving more.

You can change that 7th of june is the day you say i want my kids to have a futur in lebanon and not anywhere else.

We will have many gebran bassil working to undo all that has been brought upon us.... If we don't change it , it won't be canada. Our kids will still have to emmigrate...

I live in australia but this is my final 2 months , i bought my ticket back home.
I did not make alot of money ,nothing more then someone who has a good job in lebanon. But i came to a realisation that i am sacrificing being away from a country i love from my family and friends for the sake of a few dollars that will not buy me happiness. I will waist the best years of my life away from them for the sake of getting ahead as we say, having some security but then you want the holiday in europe as someone said and the lavish lifestyle.

We are responsible to what became of lebanon.....we have to stand up and be responsible for a change. Stop the blame game and the dirty politicians . Thats what 7th of june is for. And yes we have alot work to undo all the **** that was forced on this country for years but we have to face it if we are to make it better. We will rise from the ashes just like pheonix. History tells us our country have been distroyed seven times but in the 70's we used to be known as paris of the east.

I want a chance to change to hold my head high amongst all the nationalities of the world and say. I fix it , i fixed this country. I now manufacture cars and airplanes, i produce the best wine and export the fruit...etc.....

And no one will stand in my way, not matar rafic harriri el douwali or harriri himself..

Wadih el safi says.....in toul3et el sakhra bwejak thanha wou likmet el 3omr bi idak 3jinha wou 3ti l ard wla tmaninha....... so hariri and co don't stand a chance...

So i am coming back because i want to LIVE POOR BUT WITHOUT CORRUPTION SO MY KIDS DON'T HAVE TO EMMIGRATE LIKE ME TO AUSTRALIA OR CANADA OR KHALEIJ FOR A BETTER CHANCE OR TO GET RICH,, I AM COMING BACK TO FIX IT SO THEY HAVE A BETTER CHANCE IN LEBANON......

wa iza arad el sha3bou yaman el hayat fala boudda an yastajibou el kadar...

Many have emigrated and returned and many will and return. Once you are born in lebanon you are a lebanese above anything else.
I salute you !!!

I have never seen a more useful post or action on this forum before.

b7ayyeh aslak, 2 more years for me

I am in Lebanon !! My heart and mind are always there I am just physically outside. Despite it all the wars, problems, the mentality, despite Lebanon resembling everything else but a state and a country..........I left Lebanon but Lebanon never left me. I remain hopeful one day I will return to live there I just don't know when !!

Every one says that but trust me you will end up spending decades!!

but the positive point in living in the gulf is that it is close to Lebanon and travelling there is easy and relatively cheap for frequent visits.
