They want to go back today and they can't wait for tomorrow.
They don't care about the 24/24 electricity.
They don't care about the water that we buy frequently during our summer vacation.
They only do care about their cousins,, about the people with whom they are going to be.
They don't care about the change and they don't want to listen to what we're telling them.
Their main goal is to go back,,
Don't ask me why,, wish I know the reason,,
The only think that I can tell you,, that they love Lebanon more than anyone else,,
Believe me when I hear them talking about Lebanon,, my heart smile :)
So if one day we went back to Lebanon,, its going to because of them..
Arze,

I don't know how old are your kids and in which country u are living right now.
All of us love this country and electricity, water and all these stuff could be managed.

What could not be managed is the feeling of inferiority in a country that you are evaluated to the level of your "Wassta".
Do you imagine for example that your kids are searching for an internship without any "Wasta". I passed by this and i know the suffering.

Do you accept that your kids ambition will be limited by their religion ?

ETC...

Regards,

nice thread indeed...i get many mixed feelings while reading your posts...

the truth is i live in one of the world's most beautiful countries, Spain, but still something about Lebanon keeps catching my attention all the time...that's not necessarily good...however we can't deny the fact that we are lebanese, that our blood is lebanese and that we belong there...should all lebanese choose to leave for good, Lebanon would vanish...

we shouldn't waste our time comparing Lebanon to anything else. All we do is sit and complain and critisize over and over again...who cares? at the end of the day, living in the US, Autralia or Europe won't make us americans, australians or europeans...wether we like it or not we belong to a country full of flaws and dirt, and it is our duty towards it to do evrything we can to change it and never give up...moving back to Lebanon should be in the future plans of all emigrants...come on!!! who's not planning of making some profit abroad, work hard and get enough cash to build a cute stone house in any of Lebanon's mountains???? or buy a cool apartment in Beirut?????

i want to go back once I make enough money to have my own garden in which to plant fruit trees and tomatoes, a swimming pool and a stone house with red tiles...plus some ash left to leave to europe on holidays every time the "lebanese reality" sits on my nerves too much...

Did Berri change?

LF, Kataeb, KC (including Nayla Moawad) did not elect Berri, stop forging history.

If PSP and FM are thieves and thugs, why you are following their way and doing what they did?

That's why your change and reform are not promising!

I dream about returning one day too.

I hate the fact that I need to call the neighbour to get an appointment for my kids to go play with their kids.
I hate that I have to spend Christmas, Easter, etc. with my friends, and not my family.
I hate that I have to take the car everytime I need the smallest thing.
I hate shoveling the snow in the winter, again and again.

But I'm willing to sacrify those annoyances if Lebanon is still managed through confessionalism with no end in sight, and that another war could happen at any moment (I almost got stuck there in 2006).

My kids' well-being is worth a lot more than a kass arak with friends and family.

ahhhh....and I forgot to mention that changing Lebanon is a duty of all lebanes and the only way to make it is through the FPM...june 7 is the day...it's one clear chance to try...but don't be fool to think it'll work so easy. Changing Lebanon will take decades and a lot of suffering, but we need to move ahead and do something about it...just start and let future generations continue the job...

by the way...there was a nice song for Alain Mer3eb, if i'm not wrong...it was an invitation to emigrants to go back to Lebanon....how was it?...."skaba ya dmoo3 l 3ein...skaba...rja30 ya gaybeen 3ala watanna...into ahelna w minna w feena..." something like that....i loved it...is he still alive????

I also forget to say something. If you want a better Lebanon, immigrate to Lebanon. Not Emigrate because if you want to resolve problems, you have to face them not escaping them.

Oh common, the problem is all of us, we should try to solve the issue not encouraging those people who are still making problems in Lebanon just because they have money to buy us right?

You are not a big fan of change arent you but I am. I belive in change. Its like environement, if you think those problems are created by others who is making pollution while you are not ameliorating the situation, you will never positivly change something.

I will my personal effort to change the country, not just during the voting day but everyday. You can not just blame everyone else while you are not trying to change the conditions yourself.

what you are saying is even worth than electing Berri meaning that the christian in the feb14 has no say in decision making, because the mou3arada is minority and who elect the house speaker has to have the majority of the MPs.
