Why Should the Opposition Participate in the GVT?

قبل الإنتخابات، أعلن النائب سعد الحريري أنه في حال فازت المعارضة بالأكثرية فإنهم لن يشاركوا في الحكومة! ولكنهم فازوا وهم اليوم يشكلون الحكومة ويدهم ممدودة لجميع اللبنانيين، كما يلمّحون
يقول البعض إذا المعارضة شاركت في الحكم فمن سيحاسب الموالاة إذاً؟ فسيقومون برميْ التهم على بعضهم البعض كما فعلوا في الحكومة السابقة
ولكن كيف يمكن للمعارضة محاسبة الموالاة وهي خارج الحكومة؟
ولما الحاجة لمشاركتها في الحكومة؟

لان الدستور يوجب ذلك و بكل بساطة

تشكيل الحكومة هو على اساس سياسي و طائفي
الفريق الشيعي في المعارضة يمثل ما يفوق التسعين بالمئة من طائفته و غالبية النواب الشيعة في المجلس
الفريق المسيحي في المعارضة يمثل نصف المسيحيين
قد لا تواجه الاكثرية النيابية اذا ما ارادت تشكيل الحكومة لوحدها باي مشكلة لناحية التمثيل المسيحي او الدرزي او السني على اعتبار ان الحكومة وفق الدستور يجب ان تتشكل حسب التمثيل الطائفي في مجلس النواب لكنها ستواجه بالتمثيل الشيعي تماما كمسألة رئاسة المجلس يعني تصورو واحد ما بجبش 500 صوت شيعي يجيبو رئيس مجلس او وزير حتى
و على اعتبار ان من يمثل الشيعة هم في فريق سياسي غير فريق الاكثرية فالاكثرية عليها ان تجتذب هذا الفريق و ترى شروطه السياسية و الا لا حكومة معه
و اللي مش عاجبو هاشي يغير الدستور بكل بساطة
الآن اذا ارادت الاكثرية ان تركبها عوجا و جابت وزراء شيعة من بيتها خارج التمثيل الشيعي فتلك اشارة سلبية للطائفة الشيعية و لكل حادث حديث

let us be realistic four years out of power will be devastating for us in 2013.

a little brainwashing here, some pity there, some saoudi money everywhere, and they would win again and we would be in the same pot :)

lets participate in the new government and try as much as we can to fix little things as Gebran Bassil did,

opposing didn't do us much good the last 4 years, lets accept the fact and oppose quietly

I think FPM should participate in the government with the corresponding number of ministers relative to their parliamentary representation. Anything less than that, then we stay out!

As for the opposition, they should also participate all together having the third plus 1, which will secure to have a real national unity government representing all the Lebanese factions.

That is how Lebanese democracy works until we evolve from the stone age!

I am totally for participation in the Govt, we cannot afford sitting another 4 years out and seeing the people living in shame and poverty; I say let us do whatever we can (no matter how slim) to make life better these 4 years.
