Default why has fpm no real standing in the sunni street? - 10th April 2009

now fpm wants to be a real national party, and i have not given up on it, but to me it seems that fpm has no following among the sunnis.

why is that, an what to do about this on the long run? (i know most of you are deeply occupied with the election campaign, but why not?)

theoretically there are 3 options:

- develop a presence in the sunni street on its own
- ally with some sunni minority leader
- some kind of mou with musta2bal

i would prefer option 1 and, if possible, 3.

after all lebanon is not made up of shia and christians but also sunni.

opinions?

And a lot did not as well... But I guess it's too late for FPM to come back to its right path in that regard... Maybe in the future a new current might take rise and carry back FPM's authentic flame...

FPM is an extreme christian party , so its normal to have most of its supporters from the christian population. its not a shame , that's how Lebanon is.
You can't expect people from other sects to like you , while your speeches are always christian oriented. Moreover , its not only in the sunni street , FPM doesn't have any significant presence also in the Shiites and Durzi streets ( you can't count the allies popularity , since before the MoU they used to call Aoun israeli agent , and after the MoU a national leader :> , and they will be back to the first tone at any time Aoun stops supporting them ).

Actually if it werent for their allies, FPMs' shiite street representation would be equal to that of the sunnites.

Saladin PLEASE stop spreading lies around the forum! Now i have to tell the real story of why FPM has no standing in the sunni street...

You see Punkgirlie16 Sunnis arent you regular sect, they have been brainwashed by petrodollars and wahhabism....

Besides if FPM was a secular movement then you shouldnt really care what are the religion of your followers now should you? Cuz that wouldnt be so secular would it?

Ask yourself this: After all what happened, why would a sunnite prefer to have FPM as his representation?

Dont answer me with the usual "we are patriotic and the rest is not", think about your generals preformance during the past 4 years and respond.

most sunnies are sadly too preoccupied with the lies that their clergy + media campaigns tells them about fpm. that's why.

ino ma badak al ossa a genius, they are being constantly lied to to the point of brainwash.

so thk u harriri for being such a great honest straight man, hahaha :)

if they turned off ftv for a second many sunnies would see things differently.

if i was to believe everything lbc said i'd think samir geagea was human being actually..

and if i was to listen to christian clergy, i'd think that papa batrak has a son called Samir just like papa mufti has a son called Saad..
