FM forum is a wahhabi, fundementalist forum, ran by bunch of amateurs, some of whom can't even run for elections in their respective universities due to their low GPA.
Most members there are jama3a islamiyye believe it or not, when palestinians were being massacred, some retarded moderators had egyptian and saudi flags as avatars and signatures lol!

And you gotta love their support to al batal al moukawim saddam hussein!

Regarding the LF forum, it is a long story, i heard their team is just not organized, many internal problems between moderators/admins, and their forum was hacked last summer and closed since then.
The hack is most likely done by someone on the inside, in order to close the forum for good, for personal reasons...

Regarding what X said, yes it seems like the old team has indeed started a new forum that isn't affiliated to any political party...i spoke with one of them he said they do not want to call it the LF forum because they've had enough with unofficial forums and no need for a new one.

What I loved most on FM forum was a unique phenomenon never seen on any other cyber chatting boutique. The signatures of many posters were so HUGE, like model 12-15 liners, with giant pictures and big size letters, to the point were one needed a digital magnifier to look for and find the actual reply, which often was effectively short, à la &#^7*&%$... 3aoun.. or^7*&%8*&%$ Nasrallah..

I miss FM forum, and have a brotherly suggestion, we're brothers and sisters after all destined to live, laugh, cry and die together. Why don't X open one section, the Blue Room, at this wide Forum space, and dedicate it to our FM brothers to mingle in. We'll be practicing true coexistence and at the same time, we'll have few more alternatives for "lounging" in. And who knows, maybe we'll learn a dirty trick or two from them and they from us, that's true interaction.

Somehow it hurts me to see what happened to the FM Forum, it all started here, after Hariri's assassination we had a report about it on lfpm and FM didn't have any websites or Forum back then, so our report was spread around and thousands visited lfpm including many FMers, they met each others here and went and opened the FM forum, they copied most of the things from us (Rules and how to manage Forums and so on), their Admin was a good friend, many FPMers contributed in their Forum during the early days, but by time the good people disappeared and it became a very fanatical Forum, full of Salafists, Wahabis, even pro Qaeda members, the hate and even the violence was being preached there, and if we were in a normal country, authorities should have closed it down and investigate what was being said and done there, the last time i checked their Forum, i was worried that someone might come out of my screen and blow himself up! The Forum was like a terrorists Forum.

As for the LF, you have 2 groups, the anti-everything group and the other group that became official, first they all were in the anti-everything forum and the second group was kicked out, they went to the BG foundation Forum and eventually the foundation kicked them out (back in 2004), they went and opened their own forum (bgforum.org), they were kicked from the anti-everything Forum and bg Forum for one reason, those people were obsessed with FPM and GMA, anyway someone hacked the bgforum.org () and replaced the Forum with GMA's picture. so they went and opened the last forum, when Geagea was freed, i was expecting him to adopt the anti-everything Forum (which wasn't anti-everything and anti-Geagea back then), but i don't know why, he adopted the second group, so the anti-everything group went crazy, they have been online even before FPM, so they turned anti-Geagea, Geagea issued a statement asking all websites to close down, the anti-Geagea group told him to take his statement and stick it honik matra7 and things became very entertaining from there on, Geagea's team tried to hack the anti-Geagea Forum and they succeeded for few hours and redirected the site to the official site, the anti-Geagea group managed to take back the website and were going to sue Geagea's group, so Geagea backed off. The anti-Geagea Forum remained much more popular than the official Forum which was worst than the FM Forum, now they closed the official Forum too and moved to a "Wasatiyin" Forum How long that will last? till the elections if they were lucky.

As for the official LF site, that is a piece of art, in addition to being very bad designed and a disaster of a technical achievement, it is run by a kid by the name of T.A.N. (Nawfal Daou was in charge or of it for some time, Geagea sent him home not long ago), they have a "readers comment" section, where visitors leave comments on their articles, in addition to being an Arabic cursing dictionary, you have the very funny comments, almost 9 out of 10 comments are like this: "Hi my name is Charbel/Elie/Sandra/Tony/Mark (it keeps changing), i was Aouni and i elected FPM in 2005, now i am no longer Aouni, i am now with Samir Geagea, Alla Owet Hakim w bass" <--- 9 out of 10 comments are the same, about people who were FPM and now are LF.

The Orange Room remains the biggest and most popular Lebanese Forum, we are also the number one English Forum in the Middle East and the Arab World, we are currently ranked as 1926th biggest Forum in the world Forums Rankings - all software forums, all languages language, website ranking by posts which is amazing for a country with 4 million population.

And since we are at it, in the news few days/weeks, new Forum Administrator(s) will takeover from me (Don't get too exited, i will remain as technical Administrator or Webmaster), there will be an announcement once the new team is ready.

X is right with what he wrote, just let me make 1 thing clear, the official vanished LF forum was being run by 1 crazy guy and not a team, hence why many problems started.
Just one thing about the anti everything forum, they did not go crazy when geagea's media team adopted the other forum...first you have to understand why they adopted the other forum...the guy who bought the domain had links in arz (back then it was arz), so the geniuses in the media bureau, being so good at the internet world (some probably never used a computer before, and probably think a forum is a dating service website), adopted that official one, leaving the anti everything one alone.
that's when it became anti everything, but believe it or not, up until today, the people in charge of that forum are still pro-LF, and if you know the right people u would know that they made many steps in order to unify the forums and have a reconciliation, and letters were sent to geagea, last one was last year around march...asking for public statements about a couple of political issues, and the problem is not the hack that happened nor being unofficial.

Regarding the website, come on lol they made a huge step compared to the old one :P and please let us not give names or even initials :)
The official LF forum's problem was some people, not the team, anybody who posted there and talked to some moderators and administrators (they had like 10 admins lol) would know that some are really intelligent people...the problem was a few who are uneducated and unbalanced (even mentaly...)!!!

regarding the new forum, i checked it, yes they started a neutral forum (come on not wasate in that current political sense lol), being started by 3 of the old team members, of course the people they will invite are LFers they know, but if you look around there are some FPMers, kataeb, FM, Ahrar etc...i actually contacted one of them and he seemed interested in truly hosting a neutral forum, having mods and admins from multiple parties etc... which would be a good move and i'd give them thumbs up if it happens...i am actually sick of affiliated forum, the other LF forum been online since 1998, and i posted there since then, i posted here long time ago, on the official LF forum and FM forum, honestly most forums are uni-colored, it's interesting to have a truly diversed forum, not only members wise, but also within the team.

This forum was administrated in the right way, and for that we all have to give whoever did it (X in this case) a hand...good luck for the future!
