The LF forum currently running, is in a strange way the most neutral nowadays, taken Cedars its admin hates Geagea's current politics; but when it comes to hating Aoun he'll hate Aoun more,

ye3ne to sum it up for the Cedar's forum u'd say: ''Geagea is the devil, but Aoun is the devil el 2asle, the one that goes back to 1989.''
Agreed. yet the levels of discussions and posters are below average quality with topic divergence syndrome plaguing every thread.

But i think they had some problems with their admin being in australia and not wanting to continue the forum, or was not very ok with the LF politics, needless to mention their forum had three or four good posters, the rest being mostly kids.
When i start getting involved in forum, the first one was soc.culture.lebanon where you can post using your name or alias. in mid 90s it used to be a nice venting place out of studying hours and the quality and topics were purely lebanese. relationship among forumers was friendly and most of forumers had the true intention of improving the welfare of Lebanon. Of course, politics was a great chunk of discussion and most disagreement reside there. later on when the discussions start going south and more immature posters were coming in, most of us stopped posting there and now it does not feel like anything Lebanese.. the point is LF forum or others will have the same fate whenever these factors are present and this is why probably one of the main reason the admin is frustrated with.

The orange room is obviously the most active, having the best calliber of posters, most of them being leftists.

At least it allows both sides of the topics to be discussed.

couldn't agree with you more!! i will never forget the time when a forumer suggested to organize a big gathering to Rabieh in support of GMA while he was under attack from everywhere, in no time this gathering promised to be a huged one that could have paralysed the region until GMA requested to cancel it.

Very good analysis...My point exactly...it is not about Syrian-Saudi relationship specifically, it is about any controversial issue...FM and geageaist supporters simplify things for their own understanding (aka blame Syria for everything)...election is a complex layer of alliances, strategies and positions...FM and geageaist supporters would confuse themselves by themselves so they (geagea LF and FM) are better off not providing ground for such confusion to spread!

again and again, this is a good thing for the opposition....

Last time that i visited the FM forum,I was stucked for hours in a fierce debate between Pro-Hamas and Anti-Hamas,involving "moderate" FMers from one side, and "Islamic" FMers and pro-resistance,and Islamist allies from the other side.

Then, insults and threats started flying around between FM members, and not many posts could be deleted, because a real split had already happened inside the administration too.

Suddenly...The forum entered into the famous "maintenance mode"...And that was almost 2 months ago.

A sample of what was discussed:

Quote:

تيار المستقبل وضعه نفسه في خانة عملاء اميركا عندما دافع عن الانظمة الفاسدة التي وقفت ضد حماس في الحرب الاخيرة وعلى رأسها النظام السعودي والنظام المصري

R.I.P....Or not.
