The fact that some of the Christian street support GMA doesn't mean support for HA, there is a separate FPM identity you know!

The above is obviously my opinion, but I am willing to bet that it is shared by many FPMers, and I am 100% sure it is shared by Hezbollah.
This is what you call leadership, something the Christians have been missing for the last 20 years. Christians will eventually adapt to this strategic move and take off their cocoon they have been living in since the inception of the Lebanese state. FPM will go on and this partnership with HA is a long standing one, but if there is one thing I could agree with you is that FPM must capitulate on other issues so the transition could be done more smoothly. It already broke a barrier between two large sects, something your dear Patriarch has failed to do with his short-sighted vision relying on foreign powers to save the Christians and inflating their narcissist ego to the point of almost losing it all hadn't been for GMA and FPM. What a sadist for his own community.

When Lebanese people including the Batrack express their views of Hezbollah's militia and weapons, they are not spreading the seeds of civil war. If anything it is Hezbollah's insistence on wielding arms and leveraging them internally for control and political sway, it is that kind of muscle flexing and undemocratic military control that threatens the stability off the country.
Yes Patriarch Sfeir represents the Christian community, for that reason Aoun wasn't defeated in the elections.

If these Maronites are against HA, why are they supporting GMA, who is HA's ally?

Your mind is hopping around all over the place. Yes the Batrak represents the Christian community. No he is not an elected official. Yes GMA won in Kesrwen. No he didn't win in many other places. Yes many Christians support GMA. Yes many Christians oppose GMA.

But the vast majority of Christians oppose Hezbollah's weapons and agree with the Batrak's statements here, even if they may be at odds with him on many other issues.

BTW, GMA's win in Kesrwen was very weak, even for his very own seat! In fact scary weak. So be scared, fear is a good thing.
