Yeah, Lebanon is more than a bunch of ego driven testosterone crazed warlords.......there is at least 4 millions of them (including me and you). Of course not all of us are warlords but we follow these lords no matter what they do and say. We are like sheeps who follow the bellwether (sheep with a bell). There are many types of sheep, for example, "Maronite sheep", "Katholic sheep", "shia sheep" "Sunni sheep", "druze sheep".... you name it. There are very few lebanese citizens among all the sheep flock. Sorry, this is not to insult any one, but to point out some facts and (fish khil2i).

Let us say the truth even if we do not like to hear it. Let us be realistic and not fooling ourselves? We need to learn from our faults and be aware of our behaviour to be able to improve and secure a better future for the comming generations.

I have been living abroad for 25 years and I know what I am talking about...My tears still fall down when I hear Fayruz and Wadi3. My love to Lebanon is inside my heart, but Lebanon disappoints me every single day. ( To me, Lebanon is the sum of all lebanese people, not the beautifull mountains and villages as such).
I DO NOT WANT TO DIE ABROAD.......I want my kid to talk lebanese and feel the lebanese hospitality and establish connection to his roots.....But my beloved country, as it is now, is not a place for my kid.....I write this and the tears in my eyes, I am scared to death that my son will loose the connecton to the most beautiful country in the world.

I urge the ministers not to do anything as, in the past, whenever the government attempted to do anything, even if the intention was good, it only makes the situation worse.

CS, I feel much with you as myself am not that different in some respects. But my own personal advice is for you to dare question yourself what is more important, Lebanon or humanity? ... Life is worth more than a collection of memories and traditions. Peoples of nations have different good and bad qualities, appreciate the good of each. Don't let your dream of a Lebanon turn into obsession, because some dreams are bigger than us, and some are just meant to be dreams. Think beyond Lebanon, its a nice spice in one's life to have it, but the world is growing smaller day by day. So no worries mate;).
Ultimately, Lebanon is just one...ONE part of your identity, do not let this over-ride everything else.

Cheers!
