Losing faith in Lebanon is losing ones own identity. I have lost faith in the System there, but Lebanon is more than a bunch of ego driven testosterone crazed warlords.
Lebanese is a way of life. Preserving the country will preserve this way of life. If we abondon it, particularly those of us who can make a difference, What is left of who we are for future generations.

Sheeling the zeer min el bir won't occur overnight, but paving the way to do so could help subsequent governments in doing so.

The problem in Lebanon goes well beyong the realm of an electoral law.

The Country needs intesive care and all the help it can get to stand on its own two feet.

What it doesn't need is further wars, sit ins or futher sectarian tensions.

What the country needs is some stability and independance from regional conflicts

If they manage to supply electricity for at least 4 hours every night when I visitLebanon it would be a great achievement , beat all my expectations and make my visits to Lebanon ever more enjoyable. Anything else they do is absolutely of no concern to me.

the ministry of communications being one of the most important and most sensitive ministries is in the hand of Gebran Bassil, it is the appropriate time for Gebran to prove himself to those who constantly criticize him (by some FPMers too) for the importance given to him just for being GMA's son in law.

His performance will reflect directly (positively or negatively) on FPM as a party and especially on GMA.

so, wether we like Gebran or not he is now the image of the FPMers (especially the young ones) in the government.
