Default What will happen to the 4 generals after March? - 14th February 2009

I would like please to know about the legal procedure that will take place starting March to decide the fate of the 4 jailed generals.

As I read/heard somewhere, the investigation will be transferred from the Lebanese justice to Belmar who will have to either release them or issue new arrests decisions against them based on evidences if he wants to keep them jailed as the arrests decided by the Lebanese justice will have no more effect.

Do you think Belmar will be allowed to release the generals if he doesnt have proofs against them?
Does he have the right to postpone his decision till after the elections? If yes, under what pretext will the generals stay in jail ? Can their lawyers take any step to oblige Belmar to take a decision against them?

Finally, what will be the impact of Belmar's decision (arresting them again or free them) on the Lebanese political scene in general and the elections in particular?

They will be released. Bellemare and Bremmretz both told Mirza that they are not interested with the 8 detainee (one of them has been released already).

Ashrafieh, was that your attitude when Geagea was in prison?
You want them in jail, sue them for their crimes.

LOL. in netherlands, they base their accsations on evidences and proofs and as you said there is nothing against them. La hague is not in Saudi where sentences are based on illiterate old blind judge's feelings and mood.

They are being sued by the international tribunal. Shou fikrak ray7in vacation 3a Lahay? I'm saying they will be found guilty and will spend their lives in a cell like Milosevic.

Fine, I'm just saying they can't stay in prison for no reason, as the Lebanese authorities seem to be doing.
