I think it is in the constitution that the government should be consentual thus all major groups must be represented. If a majority government is formed will the Shias and Christians be truly represented? I don't think so.

No where in the Constitution does it say the Government must consensual.

i think it will not happen for several reasons:
1. Saudi Syrian accord in Damascus to form a unity gov
2. Hariri will not corner Hizballah
3. jumbi doesnt look like i is shifting back to 14 feb any time soon
4. harini knows the consequences of a unilateral gov.

but if hariri for some reason did it, i think the following events will not be far from reality:
1. Jumbi will not be in it
2. Saudi and Syria relation will be affected.
3. for any minor issue people from the opposition will protest resulting in clashes between moustakbal and Hizeb. which lead into more security problems.
4. mass demonstrations will start to show the opposition's real size.

and back to square one as few years ago........
