Default The war on the 2009 Parliamentary elections started - 17th September 2008

This thread is for the History.

After the Doha agreement, in which the Saudis came out as heavy losers (including the May 7 events), the plan is now simple, if Saudi's allies in Lebanon can not guarantee wining the majority in the 2009 elections, there won't be any elections.

Statistics being made daily, and the results is showing that best they can hope for is 1/3 + 1.

Now, they will do anything to stop the next elections, they know that they can't use the "Hezbollah has weapons so we can't go into elections" excuse simply because the current majority is formed thanks to Hezbollah.

They can't create security problems with Hezbollah because they know they won't last for 6 hours (May 7).

They tried to create Sunni V/S Alawite problems in the north, Bashar el Assad informed Sarkozy that the Syrian army will invade North Lebanon if the fights didn't stop. 24 Hours later everything stopped in the north.

They tried to create a Druze-Druze fight by assassinating el Aridi last week, they failed.

So the last place is Christian areas, they know that they can't afford creating problems with FPM, that will only hurt their popularity and the outcome will not be in their favor.

So that leaves them with one last option, creating problems with the weaker opposition parties in the Christian areas, the best option for them is SSNP, SSNP is the least popular party and the propaganda against them is easy (Syria), that's why the bitters today tried to include the SSNP in yesterday's Koura incident.

Anyway, President Sleiman and the new army leadership are now facing the challenge, it's up to them to stop the bitters and they can easily do that.

Let's wait few days and see.

i agree, some ppl have no benefit in the 2009 elections and by that i mean SG exactly.

the only place he can win is bishari and he knows it, everywhere else he needs to count on his allies that dont want him to start with to hope winning anything.

SG with only 2 or 3 MPs is not gonna happen if he can mess up the elections from now til then.

In the country where I live in, I know 3 Lebanese guys who were what was called Dobbat in the ouwayt of Ja3ja3 in the 1980's. After Samir Ja3ja3 surrendered his weapons to the syrians and went into jail in the 90's, they fled Lebanon.

All 3 of them were doing normal jobs in the country here (taxi driving, pizza selling....) and were always dreaming of their thuggish past life, when they used to yedba7o be dofroun bel shar2iye.

Last week I was at the airport picking up a friend who was coming back from Lebanon, I met all 3 of them leaving to Lebanon for good. They all left their jobs, sold their modest belongings here, and are going for Lebanon for good. After I asked them for the reason of their sudden decision, they said that Samir Ja3ja3 needs them, and iyem al ouwayt te7me al shar2iye rej3a.

God help Lebanon and the Christians in particular if Samir Ja3ja3 succeed in recruiting all the ze3ran he has scattered around the world.

if farid habib isn't held accountable for his latest socially unfriendly actions, the army will be only bagging them and tagging them after SF is quickly done with them.

They will try to instigate clashes and divisions all over the country, spread fear and terror everywhere, and especially in the north, hoping to derail the elections process and or put an end to it,if not totally,at least in limited areas.

What they still don't know is that May the 7th was their last warning...After that,if they make one more dangerous step like one of those that preceded May the 7th...They will be crushed like bugs.

X, once again, where are the proofs for most of what you alleged in your post, and according to which you base your thesis - especially the parts in bold?

South - Jezzine ma2elloun khebez
Beirut1 - 14 feb willl be represented by Nadim,nayla,feraoun...NO LFers
Baabda - ma2elloun khebez
Alay - Jumblat will not give any MP to lfers
Chouf - Jumblat will not give any MP to lfers
Maten - Michel Murr put veto on LFers
Kesserwen - Manssour bone put veto on LFers
Jbeil - Ma2elloun khebez
Batroun - BATTLE
Koura - BATTLE
Zgharta - Ma2elloun khebez
Tripoli - Mafi Ma7al
Baalbak - MA2elloun khebez
Zahle - Battle --->>> Marouni will represent 14Feb and NO LFers
Bekka gharbe - ma2elloun khebez

So finally MAXIMUM LFers will fight for 4 seats...
