Tla3o men hal 2ossa ba2a!
The Hariri scholarships are all over campus and not only in the Business school, and they are the reason (not the only one) why we lose there.

Would you mind naming me one of the student coordinators of the Jordanian or Palestinian groups that you know?
Would you mind naming me one encounter about the daily life and the yearly electoral negociations that go between FPM and the Jordanian students and Palestinian students at AUB?
Woudl you mind telling me about your knowledge on how foreign student groups behave at AUB and how the negociations system works?

Completely True, and before last year you and I both know where the votes of the Palestinians and Jordanians went (from the FAS freshmen to other years). It may not have been very blindly but that was the case
And I have many many encounters on that matter.

So I'm not doing what you mentioned in that last sentence.:)

1) Palestinians and Jordanians do not vote in their majority to FM.
2) The "percentage of sunnis" thing and FM's rise is not very accurate. Lebanon's cheap journalistic analyses of that kind do not really apply at AUB.

FPM can win the OSB elections if it campaigns for it correctly as it once did. But unfortunately AUB FPM's group couldn't risk focusing efforts on it at the expense of other "more guaranteed" faculties.

And not only electoral...

What is the reason behind FM's rise??

Power???
It depends on the bureaucracy at the different institutions and on the affiliation of the students which will make anything easier or harder.

Can you elaborate and give me examples of differences between a FPM representative and a representative of another party?

Well... seems to be furious... i don't know why!?

but what i know is true and the truth is definitely what i know

At least I voted 3 (..........) times in the (...........) West Hall building... and this year will be the fourth.

names... whata (.............) argument...

how foreign groups behave in AUB... they behave under the Student Code of Conduct... otherwise, Misconduct that is clearly non-academic falls under the jurisdiction of the dean of Students Affairs, who will take the necessary action in consultation with the dean(s) of faculty or school to which the student belongs. AUB holds "ALL" students responsible for actions occurring on campus and at the AUB Farm, the AUB Medical Center, and university-authorized events.

Actions against Misconduct ranges from 1-5:

1- Warning
2- Reprimand
3- Deans's Warning
4- Suspension*
5- Expulsion*
(* cases whereby the student affairs committee recommends suspension or expulsion should be referred to the University Disciplinary Committee).

this applies to all students in AUB.. current and "alumni"... no difference between foreigners or Lebanese....

how do they negotiate, they sit on a table (in some rare cases rounded) and have a cup of coffee then spew everything they want to say... go it

watch out your attitude when talking man...

Not in the past 4 years, since 2005 the sunnis in lebanon have become very segregated and hariri managed to become the leader of their vast majority. the sunni bloc at AUB votes in its vast majority for FM, u cannot deny the fact that FPM is more comfortable electorally in universities that are predominantly christian where it depends less on alliances. before, it used to attract a more diverse pool of voters but now this is less because of what's happening.

yes they do :), specially the palestinians.....U are right, AUB is distinguished by its variety, it's what makes it AUB...before, it was different... but things changed since 2005 the sectarian factor is playing a major role... people are so divided.....sometimes to the point of not even voting for their best friends.

No way, at least not in the near future.....In arabic: kif ma baramta ma btozbat, u just have to look at the electoral lists.... there's no way in hell... FPM can't currently win OSB. they might manage to get 1,2,3,4 seats instead of the zero but not more.....

Agreed
Everyone need to keep in mind AUB's geographical location, the fact that AUB is american .... the fact that the administration - well not totally but at least the most influencial people - are pro american and pro 14feb.

Tayyib lek,
you came in here, showed that you were pissed, gave some lessons to people, gave us a little pep talk about the greatness of FPM's spirit but still didn't answer any of the vital questions that were asked in my previous posts.

[] give us some real and practical answers before we go on with this discussion where people state their opinions and their "facts" and you start accusing people of being brainwashed ?

Thanks :)
