La Belle Etoile (Nejmeh) has become part of the shi'a crescent in the past few years and it is therefore subject to the de facto military rule Hezballah is imposing on Lebanon. FPM over there is a puppy and even if they chose Eliana, a 5 year old brat, they would win thanks to the non-christian votes.

It's a sectarian law not a political one loool 3ala adrab. They can't change the law because it's appointed to all the USJ faculties. They can only boycott the elections...

If FPM adopted your policy in 2005 general elections, I shudder to think what Feb14 would have done to the country with 2/3rds of parliament.

- Other logistics...
Some of what you're stating here is important, others are useless.

- Printing: Ok, this is important, you need to have your ideas and campaign on papers or on banners, I can understand that.
- Organizing events: What kind of events do you need to organize and that would need that much money
- Distribution of gifts: What the hell ? Why should you distribute any gift to the student ? And would a student vote for you if you gave him a gift ?
If so, then you're only feeding the beast that's called corruption in our society
- Calling people: Ok, you need some cards for that, but still not enough to need financing. If every person that would vote for you could make 1 or 2 phone calls, you've got the whole university covered.
With a little bit of organization, you can get the ball rolling.

But the problem is that, when students see the others paying money they start relying on that and forgetting the real stuff here.

Ila ayn ya shabeb?

These elections never made parties stronger and never made student life better. I'm not gonna say that I haven't participated in those elections back in the days, nor that I supported FPM at that time. But the uselessness of these elections can really be sensed now and efforts should be directed towards reshuffling the attractiveness of FPM as a set of principles and/or as a party.

To those who really need to emerge victorious in a sweeping victory that will rock the world, organize some rounds of paintball and savor your victory. No need to get the army to besiege campuses..I hope that the FPM will not officially endorse any candidate (regardless of how it will be interpreted). Elections were held a couple of months ago and there's no need to conduct a flawed FPM census

Well I've heard that Joseph is pretty strong as his popularity grew stronger in the past year due to his skills on the PS3 (especially on Pro-evo Soccer) and his efforts to promote the console.

However, Saad Hariri apparently intervened in favor of Sami (the LFer) and decided to grant him private lessons on the Atari (despite being outdated).
So students are leaning towards Joseph but the edge is getting reduced by the day. Especially since Sami started giving away free teletubbies DVDs.

On the other hand, Amal kids (depsite their young ages) are battling the LF in Grand Theft Auto as both of them have been sharpening their skills for quite some time in that field. The LFers are apparently using cheat codes..despicable..

HA and the neo-PSP do not participate in these elections since game developers will serve the zionist entity and harm the greater arab cause.

It's a close call. Let's not hope that a "singof" fight will erupt like in the past years.

The winner will get uber-rated media coverage and a match-up against GMA or degreeless Samir on the Wii once it's over.

p.s: not to forget a few thousand useless posts on this forum trying to identify a winner in vain.

AUB is the only stronghold that FPM (not the stupid one the media shows you) maintains straight since 1994!

And FPM's strength at AUB is not only measured in the number of seats, but also in how much our human and national objectives as FPM are met on all levels (clubs, societies, faculty representation, student treatment, cultural activity and level, community dynamism, administrative treatment, quality of facilities, campus atmosphere, individual students awareness in all fields, etc... etc... etc...).

And FPM is very strong in representative seats at all levels.

So please neither compare AUB's system with other places nor compare AUB's FPM group to any other group elsewhere.
