Default There is still hope in Lebanon (Mont La Salle elections) - 3 Weeks Ago

Today, in Mont La Salle Ain Saade, there was an elections to elect the president of the students body (I don't know the details of the system so correct me if i got the name wrong), the elections in the school happens without direct political involvement (not like what happens in universities where students vote for the political party they support), the guy who was elected and won the elections was a Muslim, there is only 1 other Muslim student in the class (elections happen only in the highest class).

Zouzou Ebba and his friends tried to convince the students not to elect him because of his religion but in the end Tarek Shrief won the elections simply because the students elected him because of the program he presented without taking his religion into consideration.

great news indeed....we need more examples like that.

for them to elect a muslim,it means the christians were open minded and the zozou ebba are a minority there.

it means that the much hyped news of sg infiltration is not materializing too.

Proud to be an ex-MLSer.

A big bravo to the students who sincerely voted for what they thought was the best program and congratulations to Tarek!

X, thanks for posting this.

The 3 girls were probably the teachers' daughters.

Ah Good old days
