Guys come on! A bit of openness! When the Soviet and the Americans liberated Europe from the Nazis and their proxys, most Europeans thanked them. That doesn't mean that they would become their slaves, and that didn't happen. As soon as Americans started taking their "soft power" for granted, Europe turned against it (and I'm not talking about the Iraqi invasion, I'm talking about the 1950s' already!).
Qatar opened its arms the very next day the violence started. They didn't wait 10 years to do so. and it's not like it is a country powerfull enough to come invade us. They didn't force anything on us. They didn't make us a deal "we couldn't refuse"...
In fact, GMA agreed to the agreement. If Lebanon's future was compromised because of Qatar or any other force, because of this agreement, don't you think he would have refused?
