Dear Watani,

The aim is as you mention to give everyone in Lebanon the same value for their vote and a full respect to their citizenship.

I have no doubts that the ultimate aim of GMA and FPM is to reach a point when a Lebanese is a Lebanese regardless of his or her race, ethnicity or religion. However, the road there still needs time. Until then, I wanted to highlight a major problem that is eating our Lebanese soul alive: that of rejecting participation and fair share to all Lebanese!

FPM and the Opposition are standing against the same discrimination you mention: our Lebanese - Armenian brothers and sisters (the label is not to discriminate against their origin as much as to show them due respect as partners in this country) have the full right to elect their representatives and not have their vote muddied and diluted as a punishment for their political choices! I would have written the same if any other Lebanese votes were treated in the way our fellow Lebanese Armenian are being treated by the Valentinos led by Saad and supported by Geagea and Amino!

Saad has no right to cut Beirut in a way that makes him king regardless of the votes of all constituents of this great city!

The opposition is made of true patriots,men of honour.

Armenians are not only integral part of it,but also fully integrated partners,and major active players.

We do not make distinctions between each others.We are all one.

The problem is simple: if you write "Armenian" (even as a religious denomination) then it is as if you are saying that the Lebanese Armenians are not Lebanese but Armenians only!

I wish we can reach a point when all Lebanese are Lebanese only (and not shi3a, druze, sunni, etc.), this way we will not have to give anyone a label anymore...

In any case, and regardless of labels, the issue is a serious one with the Valentinos trying to eat the rights of a major Lebanese constituent that has sacrificed a lot for Lebanon...

As Abu-Sandal wrote, we are all one.. It is our duty and honor to remain as one and defend the rights of each other...

We all know that the majority of armenians in Lebanon are represented mainly by Tashnaq and secondary By Hanshaq.
Will it be ok for you if FPM or LF or the phalangists brought the armenian MPs by the christian vote?

رغم أنك تطرح موضوعا ً آخر عن ما هو مطروح، ولكن إن كنت تريد رأي بالموضوع فأنا ضدّ هذا النظام الطائفيّ والتوزيع الطائفيّ. ولكن ماذا يمكن أن نفعل بوجود هذا النظام سوى هكذا تقسيم ليكون عادل للجميع؟
