I'll give you the hijacking of TWA in 1985, and one Navy personnel was killed in that operation.

From WikiThe initial demands of the hijackers included:
  1. The release of all 766 mainly Lebanese Shias transferred to Israel in conjunction with Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon
  2. International condemnation of Israeli military activity in southern Lebanon
  3. Condemnation of the March 8, 1985, car bombing in the Beirut suburb of Bir al Abed earlier that year.
The Greek government released the accomplice Ali Atwa and in exchange the hijackers released eight Greek citizens, including Greek pop singer Demis Roussos.

By Monday afternoon, June 17, most of the hostages had been taken from the plane to a secure location. The 40 remaining hostages were held by Nabih Berri, the chief of the Amal militia and the then Minister of Justice in the fractured Lebanon cabinet. One of the hostages was released when he developed heart trouble. The other 39 remained captive until June 30, when they were driven to Syria. The hostages then boarded a U.S. Air Force plane and flew to West Germany. Over the next several weeks, Israel released over 700 Shia prisoners, while maintaining that the prisoners' release was not related to the hijacking.

The kidnappers did not slaughter the civilians and crew on board that plane Al Qaeda style, even though there were several Jewish Americans on board. If it was Al Qaeda, they would have blew up that plane bi imma w abouha with them inside regardless if there were any children, women, and old people.

Second, we claim that Hezbollah were behind the bombings of the Marine Barracks and Embassy in Beirut and Buenos Aires but Hezbollah always denied any involvement in these bombings knowing that Hezbollah never shy away from claiming responsibility for any of their attacks.

Anyway, how is attacking a foreign army in your country an act of terrorism, or are you stupid enough to believe every piece of **** dumped on you from Dubya and Dick Cheney?

Question: Why are you guys wasting your life discussing Bin laden's life story and comparing BS articles?

BTW my mother's Aunt is Living in Saudi and her entire family is Saudi, Hopefully they arn't of the 90% terrorists.
TS, my best friend is Sunni from 3ersel of all places, my two cousins are married to Sunnis and they are lovely Beiruti families (by the way who hate the way Hariri a Saidawi is taking away the clout of the traditional Beiruti families). Not all Sunnis are terrorists! It's just that today's terrorism is being conducted by Sunni extremists, who unfortunately are giving the good Sunnis a bad rap.

It's the same for us Americans. We're perceived to be trigger happy cowboys when the truth is far from that. African Americans are perceived to be drug infested criminals when there's more hard working and educated African Americans who set an example for the rest of the world.

Please don't construe our criticism as a crusade against Sunnis because it isn't.

Let me point something out, First of all the "Sunnis" Are not some Political party or some small sect in some random country, Almost all muslims are "Sunni" and they constitute around 1.4 Billion people. When it is said that terrorist acts in the region are carried out by "Sunnies" That isn't much of a surprize because the region is full of "Sunnis" and amongst them you'll find the Terrorist and the Saint, The extremists and those who are completly loose.
Basically when some people start giving the impression that Most "Sunnies" are terrorists, They basically mean that Most Muslims are terrorists.

We Know who was behind Fath el Islam and if those who were caught are truely related to that mvmnt then we have a pretty good idea who is behind them as well. However, Some things are being said in this thread that shouldn't be said.

I never said that Sunnis are one political party or a small sect.

Which is exactly what I said and I used Americans and Black Americans as examples that there are good apples and bad apples everywhere. We have the Kataeb, LF , and Patriarch Sfeir, for example who are the black sheep of our Maronite family.

Which is why sometimes I feel I’m swimming against the tayyar (no pun intended) when I try to add some moderation to the many statements that come out of some of our posters.
