i think FPM have representatives in the parliement, can they suggest some secular laws beside the lectures ?

rgds,
I can understand the privacy issue. Who would want their inbox flooded with political emails everyday. I would think it would be possible for Tayyar.org to set up mail-box email addresses for the "orange" MP's. Access to political representatives is very important in any government. I write my representatives on a very regular basis ... they are not overly fond of me as I rarely have anything "nice" to say to them

I look at Tayyar occasionally, but not often. The news in English is very little and it is mostly news reports that are posted elsewhere. It is not practical at all to have Tayyar translated to English and I don't suggest that.

I do suggest that some thought be given to translating the important Position Papers and the important speeches by GMA and other officials at Tayyar.

This would do two things ... it would help get the word out to those who do not read Arabic but want to know more about the political parties in Lebanon and it would make it easier for Foreign Media to quote and report on FPM. At this time, Foreign Media has to rely on their own translators or on another news report or translation from Lebanon. The more access you have, the better the chance to reach people with your ideas.

Many good suggestions here ...... Credibility is the most important part of news.

Secular laws when you are talkign media is quite controversial. What can be a media secular law? Forbidding people on TV to wear a cross or a veil? Forbid to show a religious event, an interview with a priest? Forbid to say the word Christians, muslims.... Then you will have "ejtihadet" about what is sectarian and what is not?
It is always easy to say things like "suggest secular laws" because you are right, it is good, however, practically, it is not feasible.

I can`t wait to see the new tayyar.org ,, i hope that it will meet my/our high anticipations. I would like to see a more sophisticated way in reporting or posting reports from different sources, like attaching a multimedia link to the report. This way u can choose to read the report or watch it, which more enjoyable i believe. Tayyar.org staff should launch a massive advertising campaign that would appeal banks and big successful establishments to advertise on the website. I would also like to see a sports, health-medicine, entertainment-games, cars, nature-excursions, etc... besides politics. This way the website will be so rich, diverse, advanced, entertaining and unique.

Goodluck

You need to open the link page select the forum link, to go to the forum .
Why is it hidden ? any reason ?
Because tayyar.org & lfpm.org are 2 different entities with 2 different teams being responsible for them. So since tayyar.org is independent from lfpm.org, I think it is quiet normal not to have a direct link on the main page.

Since tayyar.org doesn't have access to millions of petrodollars, and not being supported by any billionaire, how do you expect them to survive if they don't put advertisements and collect contributions.

I think FPM should create a new website for news only, like Naharnet and stop mixing party issues with news issues. Many non-fpmers use tayyar.org as their online lebanese news provider; why not benefit from our activists to create a professional news website so we can compete with naharnet etc.
maybe we can do that with the OTV news website...
anyways, I think tayyar.org should reduce information on main page and organize in sections just like many of you suggested.
Tayyar.org should also be involved in the other smaller FPM websites such as the ones for universities and regions and set for them a standard as well as rules to reduce the state of chaos and unprofessionalism in the different websites our young enthusiastic activists are creating. for example, address should become jaledib.tayyar.org or aub.tayyar.org instead of complicate ones. A creation of a task force to monitor and help these websites would be a good idea, since some websites are posting articles and statement that do not reflect our image of modernity.....
I would volunteer in the task force as soon as it is created.
please elaborate on the idea.

I second you, LFPM is the first political forum in lebanon posting a top side banner can do the job. there's lot of people who don't know about this forum where everyone can check FPM mentality and how FPMers deal with subjects unlike other forums that are dedicated for bashing.
as for the news i agree about the sectarian language which is being used not only in tayyar.org but in FPM in general. we're giving more importance to other parties who count on us to become visible such as LF.
we used to find solutions more than accusations.
however the level of the website stays way better than other websites that don't even cross 10% of tayyar.org popularity and transparency.

I do understand they are 2 different entities , however since Tayyar website is more widely viewed by visitors , it can assist its small sister LFPM by promoting the website .

Eventhaugh myself i visit tayyar website since around 3 years , i only found out about the forum last year , and i am sure there are many people like me .
I am sure if we put a banner on the tayyar website about LFPM , The traffic will increase by about 25% ,
