There is an anti sentiment feeling on this forum towards the Sunnis for obvious reasons but lets be fair to everybody.
Keep in mind; Sunni, Shiite, Christian, etc… are simple labels different than religious believes and practices. We all know very few of us go 100% by our book. I know I don’t- sometimes I use the other book if it made more sense… In reality, if religion didn’t exit, we would be labeling ourselves with colored tags. But the real human and animal instinct is survival.
If I was a "Sunni labeled" person in Lebanon and didn’t agree with the FM agenda, I would be very upset because I would consider myself free honest and independent but dismissed by those who need me the most.
On the other hand, I understand why most Sunnis support the FM agenda- It’s convenient for their “Sunni labeled group” and enhances their survival. Al least that’s what they believe in…
If I was Shiite, it goes without saying; the FM agenda is suicidal for my "Shiite labeled group "therefore I will oppose it regardless how devastating it may or may not be for Lebanon’s delicate and balanced identity equation.
Which brings us to the Christians who can see…. In order for us to see, education alone is not enough when we’re saturated with hatred, bigotry and shallowness. That’s our main disease and that’s why we are divided. I sense it every time I try to reason with a LF supporter. And that explains why this confused group will never understand HA is a blessing in disguise for their survival under the Christian label…. And why GMA’s wisdom and vision passes way above their heads that they buried in the sand.
