Default Tashnag - Murr relationship in crisis - 8th April 2009

tayyar.org - Lebanon News -Is Murr stabbing Tashnak?

Quote:
Is Murr stabbing Tashnak?
Deputy al-Murr announced his candidacy for the parliamentary elections in a press conference held this afternoon during which he reviewed the past four years.

Through the announcement, he spoke about what he called "negative attitudes" of the Change and Reform Bloc, saying that "the withdrawal of the Siniora government" in 2005 is an example of such negative attitudes of the bloc.

Has Mr. Murr forgotten that General Aoun refused to engage in a Government where the Tashnak party is not represented because of Mr. Siniora's refusal? He refused for the largest Armenian party to join the government then.

Is this the biggest reason that Murr considered as a negative attitude?

Tashnak are known to be loyal to their allies and do not stab them in their back ...Unfortunately Michel Murr did it ...

So where are they both heading? Also let us remember the words of MR Tabourian. He indirectly hinted armenians wont vote for murr.
So is michel murr - tashnag alliance over? 40 years and its over? who thought?

I appreciate michel murr, but i think now he past his prime in politics. He is no more the great politician he once was. I guess Age caughts everybody.

I dont see any signs of problems between Tashnag and Murr. I actually think the article posted on tayyar is kind of weak and based on wrong analysis. Tashnag will Vote for Michel Murr the same as FPM in 2009 (unless something odd happens). but up to now all signs point towards a very good relationship

I unlike you i never apreciated Murr and never found him a "great" politician , for me he was always a Fox , corrupt and opportuniste , this is why for the past years we never voted for him even in 2005 chattabneh . He will use any mean or anyone to get to what he wants he will step on every thing and everyone stab his historical allies or use fraude to garantee his personal win . this is who he is , his personal gain and fame comes first .

he was a metn MP for long long years and minister of municipalities what did he offer to the metn ? beside of course corrupt rou2assa baladiyeh w zelem w ma7ssoubiyet . the armenians were his strongest faithful allies what did offer them ? they gave him a lot what did he give them in return ? even his own home town is in a sad shape . (boulevard Michel murr in bteghrin is not even finished its a maskhara ) do you expect a person who never helped his own community to be faithful to his allies or to anyone else ?

True, Minister Tabourian clearly said a couple of weeks ago that Tashnag was with Michel Murr but noone knows who the armenians will vote for..

>WATANI< did u watched hagop bakradonian on newtv ?

he said it clearly while nabil nkoula was sitting next to him
and when nabil nkoula said that Michel l murr stabbed tachnaq by entering his son to the governemt in 2005 without tachnaq he said :

WE ( tachnaq) will vote for Michel l Murr + we didnt ask GMA not to enter the government in 2005 , it was his decision and not ours.

It would help here to see the murr issue from the eyes of tashnaq for a second and not from the eyes of fpmers.

Originally many month i was ticked off a the notion that tashnak can vote for murr after he left C&R and despite of what he was doing.

Now i see things differently, i find it ok if they vote for Michel Murr alone and not switch sides.

Because Ultimately, the intended purpose was to make Tashnaq shift sides by using the carrot and stick approach with them.

But it didn't work for the Valentinos as planned..

Tashnaq has no interest in antagonising others, neither do they have an interest in not empowering themselves as main players.

When they vote for Murr in metn they vote for him alone and that should be enough for fpm.

This one Murr seat should not be the cause of a problem between fpm and tashnaq that can end with the two no longer allies.

Tashnaq has its own interest to maintain in the Murr case, and i can understand that.

What's more important is that they are still fpm's allies in all districts.

This is not a matter of hypocrisy on their part, it's a matter of and exclusive exception requirement for them.

Finally i dont see gma complaining about this. If Tashnaq wants to part ways with Murr then it's their decision to take no one else.

The article on tayyar.org has no logic or sense whatsoever.

Tashnag and Murr might be in disagreement but the reasoning in the article is childish and very illogical. Looks like something youd find on that wanabka site.

As for Tashnag, im surprised people dont have a more clear view of them.

Theyre not FPM, theyre not even opposition i think. Hariri wants his own armenians so Tashnag are in disagreement with him over that. In 2005 they were running regardless of FPM with Murr and everyone ended up allying.

Later on they remained in the opposition because the other side had his own armenians and refused Tashnag.

They ran with Aoun against gemayel because theyre loyal to their alliances, not because they share your political views and positions, nor do they now.

Tashnag wants to be neutral in the political struggle and regain its historical position (being next to the president)

Theyll remain close to GMA because as i said theyre loyal and its in their interest, but theyre not FPM and theyre not truely opposition.

They dont want to be against anyone.
