Dear Zaki,

I didn't want to express my opinion concerning this issue as it might not be pleasant to most of my dear forumers, but as you asked, I will give my PERSONAL opinion about the issue...

The same night of the elections, after the results were out, I was sitting with some officials and the first thing I said was that the best thing the leadership can do now is to leave C&R ( of course by having perfect relations with them) and join the President's block...

I know that some might not agree with me, and I'm not sure if it's possible in the first place, but for the interest of the Armenians in Lebanon, that's my opinion...

Let me clarify this for the last time...

The international leadership of the Party has no power, by-law, on any party leadership in any country specially if the issue is a local one, like the one you're saying...

The international leadership of the party cannot, and has no right to interfere in our local politics whatsoever...

This should be very clear to everyone in Lebanon...

Thank you!!

If you do leave the C&R block you would only be doing good to your party for the short term, but in the long term all of us will lose including you.

as a Lebanese Armenian. i see that tashnag doing that kind of move will be suicidal for them.

most of tashnag partisans are integrated deeply into FPM. if not as partisans then as supporters, any breach of relations between the 2 parties will harm tashnag as it will loose an important part of its base.

Exactly, alot of us armenians are more FPMers then tashnag..
our feeling is mix of both..

General Aoun is a rare non-armenian leader who entered many armenian people hearts.

Which President block? Did someone else than MM make it from the President's candidates?

it is weird because as I remeber in the past 50 yrs and up to 2005 all tashnaq partisans and fellow armenians were to the bones with Murr and against the opposition! and we had many elections battles in the past were Tashnag+Murr faced the opposition which included at that time FPM, still the turn into fpm lately and full support to them is not so much understood and doesnt seem on solid grounds.

for example I remeber not a long time ago in the 2004 municipal election there were some clashes between tashnaq and fpm, and during the elections of Mirnav.s Gaby where gaby was supported by FPM, tashnaq was hardcore to the bones with Michel Murr and fighting fiercely against fpm...

Since Hariri wants total supremacy over his allies, parties like FPM and Tashnag will never be able to ally with him. Those are parties who have a lot of popular support and are not waiting for Hariri to give them a couple of seats here and there.

This is why you will always see Hariri's allies to be smaller parties like Hanshag from the armenians side, and Doury, Caghlos, Ja3ja3, Gemayel ..... from the other christian parties.

The day any of these small parties will happen to gather enough popular support, be sure they won't wait one second to break their alliance (servitude) to Hariri.
