A German-Lebanese friend of mine bought an apartment from solidere like 2 years ago, he only stayed 1 week in it.
However, a year later he came back home with his sister, open the door...
once entered to the kitchen they found out lot of dishes and cans and so on...
He first thought that his sister have had a party and haven't cleaned up.
But soon enough they found out that there were people using the bedroom, once they turned the lights on the people stood in a defensive way, they thought the guy was a thief or something. However after a short chat, he found out that solidere has rented his apartment for other people for a sum of around 700$/month.
After spending a night in a hotel, he headed to solidere office for answers.
The reason was really silly and they were careless.
They said that it has been a mistake and the people should have taken the one above my friend's. The guy kinda took it seriously and asked for a refund for the rental but the answer was negative and had no other choice than go to the justice.
The guy had serious problems finding the right lawyer to take care of this since he had always the answer "this is a lost-lost case", the case was delayed, it was postponed months....
After all he had to sell back the house to solidere for a 50000$ less price.
The guy had a real passion for coming back and live in Lebanon, too bad that dream has faded. |
