Literally, WEST Beirut was emptied from all leftists and communists in the 90s as extremists took over the streets. But again, these stories aren't appealing and do not generate traffic......so let's keep focusing on intra-christian fighting, LF-LF, LF-Army, Kataeb-Marada, and so on.....and we all want to build a modern country!!

But let's agree with you that Al Akhbar version is the right one. Still Samir Gaegae has the guts to apologize. The innocent kids who were tore apart by the shells on the Unesco Square in Beirut are still waiting for the apology, so that they can rest in peace.
