Bassil lost batroun? True but his party won in Keserween, maten, baabda, jezzine, jbeil...

If Bassil ran in Keserween or jbeil instead of Batroun for example would he be a winner now or a loser?

So it's not about losing in ur district it's about a large party and this party with allies won 27 mps so bassil is not a loser. this is all called propaganda!!

Bassil is not charismatic unfortunately the Lebanese are used to someone with a high voice!!

GB is like any other FPMers in the party! He proved himself between all the ministers and that's another reason why they don't want him!

I heard that bassil didn't know how to manage the elections in batroun if this is true the problem can be fixed but it's not OK to attack him because simply "3amo" 2esmo Michel Aoun!

Wrong he is not like the rest. I do agree that he has worked hard in the ministry but he thinks that he is hot **** BECAUSE he is GMA's son in law. I dont hate him. He is definetely clean but I don't like his personality. He is to much of a show off.

lek hal logic! because u don't like his personality and because he is a "much of a show off " he shouldn't be a minister!

Who told u I like his personality? but I don't judge people on their personalities I judge people on their work!!

Take nadim Gemayil for example

Personality? ZERO
Work? ZERO

If Bassil was anything like him laken I agree he shouldn't be a minister!

Gebran Bassil should divorce maybe this way people will start to see him as a "good" minister! Not a show off minister!

I love Gebran Bassil because I have 3 phone lines and I don't need to run like a idiot at the end of every month to recharge them all, I have faster internet connections, and it barely costs me a bunch ... tout simplement.

the problem facing GB and others that we campare them to General Aoun, GB did good job as a minister but he should work with silent ( bala ma yrabe7na menniyi sob7 w aashiyi).i believe he is using much the credibility of his father in-law. i don't see any future for him after GMA

i think gma cost bassil the batroun elections and not vice versa hehe

he really didnt say the right things at the right time and bassil ended up paying for it

gma said quite a few things in the past that really complicated things for bassil in the elections and after the elections

the guy is over hyper, but it seems he's a good man and a good worker

he might lack charisma but honestly who doesn't lack charisma ;)

GB came a long way since he became minister...
1- his communication skills are not perfect, but much much better than before
2- He did one hell of a job in Telecommunications. no other minister has lowered our bills before. It's true that there are network problems sometimes, but those things are expected to happen when changes are made and will certainly be fixed in some time...

What I like about Gebran Bassil:
- Long time FPM activist, way before he became "the son in law": he's in the group with the likes of Abs, Sehnaoui, Dib, etc.
- Hard working minister, one of the most, if not the most succesful since the end of the civil war.
- As opposed to what a lot of people are saying here, he is not a show off at all, i've met him personally a few times in and out of Batroun and he is very down to earth and modest.

What I dislike about Gebran Bassil:
- Nothing, I'm waiting to see how he will rebound on the Batroun local scene to find the reasons of his loss and win next time. If he doesn't rebound by effectively reorganising Batroun comittee, then it will be something I will dislike about him.

What I dislike in the FPM and Gebran Bassil relationship:
- Communication: FPM (and GB) did a poor role in responding to accusations that started flowing when Feb14 tried to portray the delay of government formation as a GB issue
- Too much exposure: after GMA, he's the person in FPM that gets the most exposure, and by far (whether in tayyar.org, press conferences, and surtout OTV). When someone has too much exposure, it's only natural that people love him and others hate him.
- Too much exposure (bis): again, all of OTV's reportages and tayyar.org's articles are about GB and what he did in the Telecom. Does this mean that Mario Aoun was ****? Does this mean that Tabourian was **** (sure not, since he took very important measures that passed unoticed)... This overdose of exposure, again, made a lot of people love, but also a lot of people hate him. It also made him the easy target for Feb14 attacks.

Things I would want to be cleared by FPM about some issues related to GB:
- All the fuss about some problems inside the party being because of him. Let's be transparant, and do more than just denying with a press communiqué.
- I am also waiting to see if FPM will put Bassil minister in a State ministry or not. If it's a state ministry, i will be against that, because it's not his place. If it's telecom or energy (to reform it), i'll be more than happy.

GEBRAN is a tireless worker .
he comes sometimes as a bit snobbish and elitist.....bass if you meet him he is quiet helpful and follows up on issues.

his get attacked just because he is GENERAL in law..and 14feb thinks by doing that they will hurt GENERAL.

Bonjour
