Default To some Fpmers or allies:WHy don't you love Gebran bassil? - 2 Weeks Ago

To some Fpmers or allies:The question is simple, why don't you love Bassil?
IS there something that we,ordinay people don't know about the guy ?
Many Fpmers like him,others don't.
Is there something we don't know (other than he is GMA's son of law) ?
Let your critics be based on solid arguments not only :"I don't like his attitude","I don't like his charactet"...

After all, people may change when criticised and I do think if minister bassil's read them,he will be able to undergo some changes and correct the bad or weak points...

NB:This thread is only for FPmers and allies.Other please refrain from posting unless your critics are solid and constructive.

Thanks

Well, difficult one... Let's see...

1. GB is GMA's son in law.... Regardless of his personal value (which I am not questioning), just the fact that he is GMA's son in law should be a reason not to play a prominent role in FPM's politics, since FPM is against political feodalism.... He can very well be very effective behind the scenes, without offering to critics this easy target of : walawww, FPM is against feodalism, and see GB is in the government... (Same applies to Alain Aoun, btw)

2. GB needs to work on his communication skills, especially in front of the camera... It might only be a few minor things, touch-ups on rhetorics, gestures, etc... will definitely procure him this charisma that he lacks....

[Yalla, i know i will get bashed....]

I agree on number 2 100%,but i really disagree on number 1 if he was an activist before meeting his wife,if he is an FPMer he should not be penalised because he is related to GMA.....

see no bashing

I no longer support FPM and sure as hell don't support their allies, but in my view, Gebran is doing a good job and should remain in his post.

Tnx for not bashing... :-)

Working behind the scenes is not necessarily a penalty... He can be very powerful, and accomplish what he wants to see accomplished without necessarily being himself a minister, or have a prominent Visible place.

I really have a problem with the fact that being a minister, or even a president of the republic is considered as being a REWARD.... On the contrary, it is a responsability, so not having to bear it is not a penalty....

I'm impressed by his work as a Minister but not by his work inside FPM(on a leadership level) and in Batroun

He is destroying fpm popularity..his new nickname is fpm destroyer.
everybody views him as gma son in law, thats how he was marketted.
He is also too cocky, acts like he is sthg big..

He didnt do great work in his wizara. just fpm media focused too much on bassil work.which also made other fpmers + allies hate him to some extent.as if mario aoun, alain tabourian didnt do anything...everything was on bassil.

Many reasons :
- GMA son in law
- Economical interests with some of 14 march members
- Doubts about his role inside FPM

The question that i ask all the time : is he the best reformist in FPM or just we want him to look like the best ? FPM have other ministries, why they are not doing the same kind of job ?
