.
I indeed do giggle at this "first government" statement. What difference does it make if it's the first gov or not? Is it a habit to have many governments between 2 consecutive parliamentary elections? I thought it was a matter of principle not appoint losers in elections as ministers since they don't represent the people. So what changes exactly between the first gov or any following one?

I'm truly amazed by the ability of the loyalists to twist everything to suite their goals and agendas.

it is a fairly typical practice in a parliamentary system with fusion of powers for the PM to select ministers from the elected MPs. This is not only a Lebanese practice.

Yes he wont have any, unless he has MPs and they happen to be selected by the PM to participate in the gov.

as a start since when a MP should be a minister ??????

if a governement should be formed by MPs then why have a parlement in the first place ? if you know what i mean !!

how come no one opened his mouth when a loser was chosen to be president of the lebanese republic ? (nassib lahoud) it was ok for presidency then but not good enough for ministry today as long as it envolve FPM ?

do you think today the president who lost the wassatiyeh bunch and his own candidates in the last the electoral race should nominate any candidate for the new government ? what is his exact size on popular base ? ohhh yes he is concensual ..... i always tend to forget that sowwyy !

Coralie, this is the nature of a parliamentary system, the majority of parliamentary systems have fusion of powers with MPs as ministers, and Lebanon's system is parliamentary.

But the minority have more than 200,000 voters more than the majority.

why man in district can elect 2 members and other one can elect 10 members.

Rules aren't the same Joseph.
