I am against a Unity Government, with 1/3 or without cz its a load of BS.
But I'm confused since i want FPM inside the parliament to know what going on and tell the people.Because opposing in the parliament is never enough in Lebanon.

You should participate, better with veto power, but even without. M14 won't dare make major decisions that the Shia would oppose. That is proven. If you participate with veto power, and the Shia are not opposed to a certain decision, you're not going to be able to prevent it.
A lot of people voted for FPM. They should be represented in government.
If you do not participate, over 4 years you will be marginalized and people will forget about you. You need to set an example in the ministries.
Do not bet that Hariri and Co will ruin the country. First, that will be a bad thing to bet on, in principle. Second, Saudi will still support Lebanon with money, loans investment. Because if the economy tanks, M14 will lose, and KSA's influence will wane.
The Obama administartion has an inclusive approach. Unlike Bush who refused power sharing and prodded for confrontation, Obama is the opposite. If you ask to participate, he will lean on Hariri to do so. But if you refuse to participate, he will not come begging you to do so.

this is what i had in a different post:

we cant let them do as they like. They already used the dawli resources to secure their win. if we let them do what they want for another four years they will destroy the country. their security forces under the pretext of government orders will start to tighten it on mo3arda supporters and we will lose this way.we need to stay 2a3deen 3ala albon so that we can lessen the harm as much as possible.

very very very good analysis. Lebanon will be showered with money in the next four years to show the people that voting for M14 was the right choice. they will lose for sure in 2013 if nesbiye is implemented, thats why they need to do well.

I'm against FPM participating in the new Government but if they wanted to be in the Government I'm with giving FPM 4 ministers

2 FPM
1 Marada
1 Tashnak

or FPM should not accept!! Tashnak helped us a lot and they deserve to have a minister in the next government!!

Opposition from outside gives nothing (we experienced it)
Opposition from the inside without the (1/3)+1 is a kind of sucide
Opposition from the inside with the (1/3)+1 is the best choice as per the opposition but it only highlights that the system is broken : it cannnot work, it's not democracy. It's a new kind of troïka and this is not a way a country can be governed and governors judged every now and then, etc. It's a very restrictive understanding of consensual democracy and I don't like it at all... BUT until we have a new system, this is th eonly salutary path

If FPM wants to be in it should be without the veto power, why?

- With veto, the loyalist will blame all their mistakes on the opposition
- Without veto, they have no excuse what’s so ever... the opposition in case of a failure could easily say; not our fault we didn’t have a veto power to stop their madness, it’s better for us to leave this damned government…

And as I said earlier no participation without an agreement on a reform agenda!

You cannot go into numbers since the number of ministers every block should get depends on the size of the government but if the government were to have the same size as this one ..... u should remember that when the C&R was 21 MP's we got 5 ministers now it's 27 MP's so we should get 6 or 7 ministers ......

No. خلوهم يفوتو بالحيط لوحدن

Focus on rebuilding the party and reconnecting with the people.
