in nigeria
the have started making lists for people to send to lebanon to vote in 09.
i saw their lists and they have hundreds of names, mainly in christians areas.
i will reckon that not all the people will go.
what i think they can bring mainly teh ones from the gulf areas and maybe a bit from europe.
ye3ni from australia and usa is such a long trip and the hassle is too much for the people involved to travel all the way.
also in there people can not just take tehir leave when they want lollllllllllll.
the numbers IMHO are exxagerated, maybe we are talking about 10000 , give and take at max.
in any case, people form both sides will come to vote, i know me and my wife are coming for sure ( self financed) LOL..........
but maybe i will ask the person handling the tickets to put me on their acct, he is my good friend

People from both side will come. True. But Hariri only has the means to MAKE people come on HIS personal finance. 10.000 votes won't make him win the elections. He might win a casa or 2 he wouldn't have otherwise, but he needs much more than 10.000. Try at least 50.000!

If you take the 2005 results in the Christian areas, he'll need at least 20.000 votes in Matn, and some 30.000 votes in Keserwen-Jbeil. That is not to mention that he'll need even more to win casas like Zahle and more considering the new casas like Baabda, Beirut 1 and 2, Batroun, Koura, Tripoli, etc.

I think FPM and allies should do the same if they can...I can speak of Canada I have heared on numerous occasions from the "14 el shaher" supporters that they are working on flying people down to vote and if they get enough interest they are willing to book all the seats available once the election date is determined and they will be lobyying the neutrals and the people on the fence in order to convince them. Also a active LF guy told me that they are willing to spend millions and millions of dollars so Micheal Aoun does not succeed again. it seems that all availble means are being used or will be used especially against FPM.

i will doubt that they can mobilize over 10000 christians to come and vote in our kazas
how mnay usa or canaa europe based people they have for 14feb and at the same time are willing to come and vote.
getting leave and time off is not easy.
their best bet is from the gulf area, and there how may christians can they get?????
ye3ni shou al shabbab barra ma3 14feb aktarr men al\ shabab jouwwa in lebanon.
i can tell u about nigeria, which is the largest christian community in west or in africa as a whole
over 10000 christians in nigeria working and very close to the politics in lebanon.
i can bet anyone , if they can muster more than 500 to come to lebanon and vote for them.....
i saw their lists and i\laughed, mostly the expats are from the north, and many from zgharta, koura, betroun, few becharri and some from beirut, matn and a bit from jezzine or south.
ye3ni the votes they need from the important kazas are just not there LOL
in any case, THE GULF area ( emirates, qatar, saudi, etc.....) are the ones that we should worry about, ad i have no numbers there.
maybe residents members there can give us better idea.
as for australia, the largest christan communtiea are from kazas that they need not their votes.
take for example 3 villages.
becharri ,hatcheet has a lot there, waste of ticket, also bann.same effect.
karam al muherr, 3imarr, etc..... they vote danniye
mereh kfersghabb......vote zgharta bass will they make a diff?

and this is how we should see the issue, numbers are not enough.
they need to get numbers where it matters.
