If the wesert does not want Hezballah , It shoud reinforce the army before any talk ,that is in the first place.

Second thing, why not our army trained on guerrilla warfare as HA fights?

What is the point of having an army if it cannot defend it citizens. If Israel wages a pre-emptive strike on Hizbullah, we should all join forces to defend our fellow citizens .

But on the other hand, if Hizbullah decides to attack Israel without consulting our army command and obtain permission from parliament, maybe they should fight it out alone

Israel has been attacking Lebanon for 3 years now, since the end of July 2006 war, and HA has been showing restraint in its right to defend the territory.

But it doesn't mean in any way, that HA has relinquished that right.

So it would be useful if you defined what you meant when you said "Attack Israel".

PS:On a side note, whatever the causes of an eventual war, no matter who might be right and who might be wrong, or who started it or how, we, as Lebanese, we have the duty to stand united against the enemy, confront and repel it and defeat it. Any issues can be solved later.

If the Army and Hezbollah collaborate on the training efforts, in addition to establishing a strong morale amongst the army personnel as to why should they fight and defend the territories of Lebanon, it would be the ideal situation.

Right now, the army, just like the government recruit based on sectarian quotas, and promotes based on sectarian quotas, this will always mean that the army is made of a bunch of religious sects that are not united to defend a united Lebanon.

Because of this sectarian desease that exist in the army, probably a person like Jeajea will be able to dismantle the army with the sectarian discourse just as someone else did back in 1976.

Create a united Lebanon with a Lebanese army that incorporates HA within its troops and they will fight and die for the defense of Lebanon, not the defense of their sectarian loyalty.

I was trying to say that the spirit of an army is to defend a country from ANY foreign or local attacks... Wasn't talking only about Israel...

As for your question, if the army can't stop it, the resistance can...

As DI said, in 2006 the Army had a role, physically and morally in defending this country and in helping the resistance. That's defending too...

Thank you!!

I like your use of the term united.

What I stated was clear habibi

We have an elected parliament and army who decide when we go to war. We are underresourced to begin a war with israel but in the event that they wage one on us, yes we should unite as one to defend our land.

But how do you expect me to unite with you in an event you may instigate without consulting me first.

You can't give an army a specific role and keep other options out of them...

The main aim of an army is to defend its citizens from ANY attack...

If an Army is afraid to stand against any other army, then they will surrender... Look at history, since thousands of years ago it's always the same in every war, but also if you read history you'll see how small armies have beaten big armies...

A good army is the one that stands even against the strongest army and gives his life for defending its citizens...

If you all see that our army should not open fire against Israel than you don't really know what a real army is...

Thank you!!
