إعتبر البطريرك الماروني نصرالله صفير ان "هناك بعض الطامعين يريدون ازاحة الرئيس ليحلوا محله"، لافتاً الى أن "السياسية يوم لنا وعلينا واذا انتقل الوزن الى 8 اذار فهناك اخطاء سيكون لها وزنها التاريخي على الصعيد الوطني".
صفير، وفي حديث الى "المسيرة"، رأى أن "المسيحيين وحدهم لا يضعون ضوابط لخلافاتهم"، مشيرا الى أن "صورة اي سياسي في العالم لا تستأهل ان توضع مع صورة السيد المسيح".
وشدد صفير على أن "بكركي تقول ما يجب عند اللزوم واذا ارادوا اسكاتنا فهذا شغلهم".
واكد صفير على أن "كل دولة تحترم نفسها يجب ان تكون هي المسؤولة عن السلاح لا بعض الجماعات التي تحمل السلاح في وجود الدولة".

i would advise bkirki to put guards 24/7 on the grave of that man after he passes out cuz it would be a grave offence to humanity if someone was to dig up his body posthumously and feed it to the sewer rats..

That's not the point, Sfeir said many times he is against the army men to become presidents, he named a list of 6 candidates for the presidency and Michel Sleiman was not one of them.

Hala2 sar 3etlen hammo la Michel Sleimen?

Let's say GMA or anyone else is trying to remove Sleimen and take his place, isn't Sleimen man enough to defend himself?

Did Sleimen ask Sfeir to defend himself?

باكراً اختار البطريرك الماروني ان ينزل الى الساحة الانتخابية مطلقا تحذيرا شديد اللهجة من مغبة فوز المعارضة بالانتخابات النيابية الى حد وصف الامر بالاخطاء التي سيكون لها وزنها التاريخي ، منحازا صراحة الى فريق سياسي على الساحة المسيحية ومحرضا علانية لانتخاب فريق على حساب فريق بلهجة غير مسبوقة مما يؤشر على ان مخاوفه من فوز المعارضة هي اقرب الى الواقع الذي يراه امامه بعد اشهر قليلة

باكرا اختار سيد بكركي ان ينزل الى الساحة الانتخابية عله يخفف من الوضع المأزوم الذي تعانيه قوى الموالاة المسيحية بالتحديد والتي تشهد صراعا محموما على المقاعد الى حد الاستنجاد بالموقع الروحي الاعلى في الطائفة ومن هنا يمكن ان نفهم معنى ان يطلق البطريرك صفير مواقفه هذه من على صفحات مجلة تابعة للقوات اللبنانية ملقيا بحجر ثقيل في ساحة هائجة اصلا قال عها انها الوحيدة التي ليست لها ضوابط مما يعني ان ردات الفعل فيها لن تتاخر كثيرا
