I don't think underestimating sami gemayel is healthy...During my USJ years, me and my friends used to make the same arguments about him being a kid, an opportunist, an actor (which is true), now he is an MP and he managed to "yekhro2" C&R's list and he is getting stronger day by day...the approach towards him must be different. | | | | | The Following 3 Users Say Thank You to Rising Phoenix For This Useful Post: | | | Orange Room Supporter

Christians need to elect a leader that can speak in the name of all, someone like Bashir Gemayel but with a blend of Elie Hobeika and Samir Geagea. Fouad Abou Nader was the closest one to that role however he got sidelined because Amine Gemayel did not want to see him rise that high. Instead, Sami Gemayel is increasingly groomed to be the next Christian leader who could unite all factions from North to South.
Speaking of North, Suleiman Franjieh could have been a project for a strong Christian leader however he never made a serious effort to get out of his area (Zgharta/Ehden), instead relying on his limited regional support and on an unbreakable relationship with Syria.
Speaking of clergy, Bishop Beshara Raii could make a good politician one day provided Patriarch Sfeir opens up the way for him, however the latter seems to be attached to leadership till the last minute and Raii is still sidelined in 3rd stage (behind the council of bishops) where he could only provide a couple of interviews every now and then to stations such as Sawt el Mahabeh.
Michel Aoun and Samir Geagea might still be labeled as the two strongest Christians leaders however that is media hype and the Christian street wants fresh blood, it seeks someone in the lineage of the Gemayels and that is exactly what will happen in a few years if Sami continues his progressive ascension.
Who does Samir Geagea have to compete with Gemayel Jr?
Will Gebran Bassil ring more in the hearts of Christians than Sami? | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Dry Ice For This Useful Post: | | | Orange Room Supporter

many other ppl were retards and leaders, but that didn't make them less of a bunch of retards either
the guy spouts feudal crp that so many christian weaklings like to hear
that's his winning ticket
fighting it is a different matter
but a stupid mini hitler with his speeches and stances he still is
ripping fun of him is a forum thingy not an fpm stance
and no one is underestimating the power of idiots, from their leaders 3a shakil sami and mgeagea going through downwards to their fascist inquisition base | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

Will Gebran Bassil ring more in the hearts of Christians than Sami? | We don't need leaders for Christians nor for Muslims.
We need politicians (employees) to do the state jobs like any other civilized country.
As long as the Lebanese dream of a Leader to govern them they should not blame those leaders to F... each and every one of you.
The day you accept a leader to lead you, you become a follower (Ghanmeh)
Don't Act Stupid, we have politicians for that. | | | | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to Bazek For This Useful Post: | | | Orange Room Supporter
