Liberty Front executive Nazar Najarian will be candidate for the catholic armenian seat of Beirut I with FPM, Massoud Achkar and Tachnak.

For Albert Kostanian, I do not know if he is catholic or orthodox armenian, I only know he is a Samy puppet.

Samy is like Amine, just mark my words

Sami Gemayel (no matter what you think about him), had a positive approach toward us after the Maten by-elections (at least toward the forum), in the article posted in Al Akhbar (first post of this thread) it also says that Sami is still positive toward FPM.

So i am giving him a chance to directly talk to us (at least on the Forum), that doesn't mean we have a positive approach toward him or we will ally with him, I just want to hear (read in this case) what he has to say.
You read him wrong. Sami has a favorable opinion of the FPM pre-2005. He describes the struggle the FPM led during the Syrian Occupation. Most of us had a similar sentiment as Sami. But Sami hates the FPM post 2005. Sami knows very well the danger awaiting Lebanon should Hizbullah/AMAL/SSNP succeed in the next election.

So don't flatter yourself too much. Sami is at the "right" of the M14 spectrum, right next to the LF. He is not telling you this because he is a politician. So the union of Kataeb/LF/Ahrar/Lahoud/FLAM in Metn is unbeatable, specially that Murr is not on your side.

ELie, is this mighty coalition of HA/Amal/SSNP a failure now. HA/Amal have same # of MPs pre and post 2005, what had changed for them. in fact in pre 2005 they would have their golden chance to unleash their "danger plan" on Lebanon. they had the supereme blessing of the syrian and all Lebanese flip-floppers. Why are they waiting for 2009 is beyond my comprehension, care to elaborate?

Elie, r u saying that LF and Sami represent the right wing of March 14?old habits never die!
you might be right that the mentioned union is unbeatable in Maten. I have been saying for the life of me that FPM will be the underdog in Maten's election if this union will have a "murr" taste added to it:).

I wouldn't mind allying with Cheikh Sami Gemmayel if it entails getting all his Maten Loubnana votes

I personally have no doubt about that. Actually I think there is one tiny difference, Amine is smarter.

This union is beatable. Don't say it's not. It all depends on el murr and Tashnaq. Tashnaq said it has an alliance in 09 with el murr. So how are they going to have an alliance with El murr & GMA? This will be interesting. If tashnaq gives half its votes to the union above then ofcourse they will win. We will have to wait and see. It will be interesting because el tashnaq is also depending on HA votes in beirut II. So if it lets down GMA in metn there is no way the opposition will vote for them or put them in the list in beirut II
