Since he's the Prime Minister, he should hold a meeting with Bashar el Assad only if this meeting is in the benefit of the Lebanese state. However such meeting shouldnt be in Damascus, it should take place in Cairo or Riyad with the presence of President Sulieman, and of course King Abdullah and Mubarak.

We desperately need a unified Arabic vision for the area, especially after the US withdrawal from Iraq and what's happening in Palestine.

why not hold the meeting in Beirut for a change?

it seems you guys are not used to the meaning of the word sovereignty, you just want to replace the Syrian wisaye with Saudi and Egyptian one... typical

Beirut would be a perfect place for us, but since Bashar might refuse to come to lebanon to meet Saad I suggested other Arab capitals. Plus this reconciliatory meeting involves Egypt and KSA as well, not only Lebanon.

Why don't you guys worry about a Lebanese reconciliation before an Arab reconciliation ? I don't care if Syria is on a good terms with KSA and Egypt as long as I hear your hatred speeches against FPM and the opposition. Besides, you never had a say in anything unfortunately, always waiting for a foreign country to tell you what to do. Saad could have simply visited Rabieh, Dahyeh, Bnechay and Ain el Tineh and agreed on a government which the whole world have to accept because we LEBANESE chose it. But instead Saad flew to Riyad and Cairo and is now getting ready to go to Damascus once a creative scenario is found for this visit such that the F14 supporters don't feel frustrated when they see the true face of the "Cedar revolutionists".

The political parties in Lebanon had their reconciliation in Doha accord, a political reconciliation( since we still have hatred between few groups of the lebanese people).

Well , if Hariri went to Syria before forming the government , then he is going there to discuss this formation with the syrians ... which is pretty much bad ... why wasting time discussing with the tools(opposition) while he can discuss with the boss? and pretty much it is clear that Hariri's visit will be coming with KSA's support(/order?) ... too bad Lebanon is still getting ruled from abroad.

PS: that's exactly why I refuse to be a supporter to any party , all the same.
