Ramzi Kanj: we would have ignored the words of Mr. Souaid if he lectured about anything other than 13 October and from anywhere other than Bhamdon!
In regards of the joint meeting held in Bhamdoun between Dr. Faris Saeed and MP Akram Shouhayib, Free Patriotic Movement’s Ramzi Kanj made the following statement:
We would have ignored the words of Mr. Souaid if he lectured about anything other than 13 October and from anywhere other than Bhamdon precisely, but since he chose this date and location, it means we have to clear the following:
We should remind Mr. Souaid that on October 13 martyrs fell at the hands of the Syrian army with the assistance and support from those who you were lecturing with and invited by.
In Bhamdoun specifically, the Christians suffered from the barbarism of those, and more than 300 martyrs fell during a competition between your old and new allies to see who is bloodier and more criminal than the other, the people of Bhamdoun were slaughtered like sheep without any mercy as a result of the choices those who you were lecturing with made.
We might forgive others when they talk about wrong bets, but between accusing General Aoun with a visit to Iraq and predicting a visit to Taliban, we remind you that General Aoun visited the U.S. 5 times when many shuddered to hear his testimony against Syria in the congress.
At a time when the Christians are fleeing from Mosul, the Middle Eastern Christians in general and Lebanon in particular and Bhamdun specifically are waiting for your political part to raise one slogan only in the next election, a slogan saying: the return of the displaced to their villages in the mountains with dignity and the declaration of finishing the cleaning of the blood from your hands.
