We "fpm" did not win zgharta. Sleiman franjieh was so disrespectful to general Aoun concerning zgharta. He announced his list without even consulting general Aoun. Days before the elctions he went on LBC to claim that "general Aoun knows that he, sleiman franjieh, can win zgharta elections without the help of fpm". I wish just 1000 fpm in zgharta boycott the elections, I don't want to say other thing like hoping they voted michel muawad list. less than 1000 votes seperated the 2 lists. I said 1000 votes only, but doesn't fpm has at leat 2000 votes. Just a simple question to Mr. Sleiman Franjieh who's dirty comments about the batrak (although I am totally against the batrak position toward general Aoun" and about many other things, cost us christian votes all over Lebanon : What would have happened if FPM did not support you in zgharta. Just this simple question.
From now on we will say the truth, ra7 menkoon we27in. 7ejon mrahnin 3ala tibet alb el general w nezlin malesh fi. 2refna ba2a. We are sick. We are aounists. From now on the truth will be like a train that lost its breaks.

Let's put these elections aside (because of the countless factors involved), If Marada don't support you, you will never win in Batroun and Koura but they can still win Zgharta without you. Since you are looking to win , you have to accept these facts. And since you are looking to win, you have to accept what Frangieh says about the Batrak. These are your allies. You can't tell them to change. They don't have the very same principles as you. That said, the Batrak always spits venom in the elections, each elections and still FPM bidallon ybaydo wij ma3o. Isn't FPM supposed to be a secular party anyway ? Why is it always looking in any way possible to praise the batrak ?
You guys are just crying and trying to put the blame on everyone you can. The numbers are clear. Despite everything they did and the petrodollar effect, the opposition still won with a 150,000 vote difference. I don't understand what more do you want ?

Forget about this statistics, it means nothing. Based on the current electoral law the number of deputies that counts, they have 71 and we have 57

so let's accept the result, make deep and cool analysis to see what went wrong? and move forward. most important is to move forward and start planing for 2013.

This makes me cry if you are a Aounist that was resisting during the syrian era. If you were very young at that time and you did not participate or if you are not a Aounist, then I will excuse you, otherwise I will cry about how the aounist mentality became.
Back to your post, I find that you are giving a pass to Franjieh's disrespect to general Aoun. I don't think we won batroun or koura anyway and since franjieh claimed he won without your help then you did not win zgharta.

Pkanning for 2013 starts with analyzing the figures and the facts
Amon these :
- the number of voters
- the number of diaspora voters
- the number of christian voters
- Etc.
Which gives other related questions :
- the impact of another electoral law
- the work that FPM needs to do regarding the Diaspora (explanation, tec.)
- the work that FPM has to do on christians or simply forget about this "christian rights" policy
- Etc.

Facts and figures are conditions sine qua non for planning the future

Default about the popular vote... - 10th June 2009

First i believe that such a talk is dangerous, because we are not a popular democracy and we haven't had a census since 1932. additionally, the number of christians have fallen under 40%. so if FPM wants a popular vote that means the christians will choose even a lesser number of their MPs.

However an more accurate popular vote is that of the districts with a Christians majority which are: Jezzine, Baabda, Metn, Kesserouan, Jbeil, koura, Batroun, Zghorta, Bchareeh, Zahleh and beirut 1.

so i added the top candidate and lower candidate of march 14 and march 8 here are my results:

top candidates:

march 14: 286443
march 8: 273040

lowest candidate:

march 14: 263347
march 8: 254592

in both cases march 14 won

i took the numbers off the official results from Elections 09 -
i would be more than happy to send the excel sheet i did to anyone who asks for it. just send me a private message. ( the sheet includes a district by district breakdown and additions of the numbers, all over lebanon and in the Christians areas.)

We are a secular party, and we represent ALL lebanese. I hope this was a leeson for us.
Man please stop fooling yourself and the others:
Election Results:
Opposition lost the election
Tayyar won the election or at least he preserved his regions (Maten/Kesserwan/) and he got new regions (Baabda/Jezzine)
He lost Zahle and Batroun
C&R bloc is the second bloc of MP
So please stop fooling
