1) Walid Al-Omari was detained for reporting INSIDE Israel:

"Reporters Without Borders today called for the immediate release of Walid Al-Omari, Al-Jazeera’s bureau chief in Israel, who was detained today in northern Israel shortly after reporting live on the Qatar-based satellite TV news station about the cross-border clashes with Lebanon. It was the second time Omari had been arrested by the police in two days."

So there goes your first lie.

2) The West Bank is not "a war area". The west bank is an OCCUPIED territory. And as an occupation, Israel is FULLY responsible for the entry, exit and well being of the reporters there, and for their freedom of reporting from those areas.

You know, regardless of how many times you put the word "fact" in your posts, it won't make them anything more than baseless claims and conjured up heresy/ propaganda. You still have not provided any evidence other than a case of Brazilian reporters that were found photographing sensitive Hezbollah areas, interrogated, and then released.

have u ever been to South Lebanon? I go there every weekend. I have cable in my house there, I can get any TV channel I want, I even get the Israeli station there and I can watch it. Everybody in South Lebanon can pay 20$ per month to get cable.

Oh and there's pubs and strip clubs in bigger south lebanon towns such as Tyr. I can't see how u think HA control everything.

AnD most importantly, ANY reporter can go to Southern Lebanon any time. As I remember BBC and CNN had reporters in South Lebanon DURING the war.

the difference between me and you is that I KNOW south lebanon and live close to the Shia suburbs, and I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, WHILE YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN ANYWHERE NEAR SOUTH LEBANON, and know nothing about it, but still insist that u are right.

what a hypocrite.

1) He was arrested for reporting he did about a war zone OUTSIDE Israel.
2) In your dreams the West Bank is not a war zone. It is a low intensity war, but it is a war.

You are a HA propagandist. Read what Michael Totten has to say.
How come reporters were not allowed near the recent explosion???
Why is there no independent reporting from there???

Ius, despite all the flaws of our country, Lebanon is still the most liberal country and most democratic country in the whole middle-east (which includes palestine and Israel).

In matter of freedom of press, the only major difference between Lebanon and the western countries is that you can't criticize religions or religious figures in Lebanon.

People (non-lebanese) who come in Lebanon are always stunned by the level of freedom that exists there.

I know this will make you crazy, but Lebanon has probably more in common with the western democracies than Israel will ever have.
