A president without a backup in the parliament wont be able to act as a president is supposed to act.
General Sleiman has no serious backup in the paliament and wont be able to get that huge support even if he had some mourasha7in here and there in the next elections .
The parliament as it is in lebanon at the moment will be able to do anything without even consulting the president , as the president is nothing but a mazhariyyeh,a huge one BTW : huge "presence" but nothing to do ( i call it the best payed work in the country). He wont even be able to stop a law since the law may pass after a while without his signature.
if GMS is a bad or a good president is something we may see in the next days and months. He must get the chance to prove himself and may use the one or the other possibilty he may still have to change something or to pass something.

For those that really want to try and communicate with him i suggest that you do so by findng someone who knows a member of his family or someone who knows a military connection or old friend.
through this method you will have a 1% chance of somehow communicating with him "not that it would do you any good".

What do you think about President Sleiman starting a blog or some other form of communication, so people can talk to him and connect with him?

How can we let him know that we want him to listen to us, the people of Lebnan?

When he was a head of the army and could act he did not do anything. He promised to catch the killer of zahle, ba3dni nater.
Even now that there is no head of the army, the army is still operational the way it was, so even there he was useless.
All the salaries he got from the people taxes since he was appointed General at least, are a waste of taxpayers money but the FM don't care since this waste is minimal to what they are wasting.

Thanks for the link. Here is my letter to the president:

Dear Mr. President:

As one of the millions of Lebanese citizens who were anxiously waiting for your election, I believe that ahead of you is a golden opportunity to connect with the people who genuinely support your presidency.
Unfortunately, our politicians have forced themselves into an endless cycle of bashing and accusations that they have no time to hear what the people really want.
Therefore, I humbly propose to you to open a forum, a blog, or any other method of communication, so that We the People of Lebanon can connect with you, let you hear our thoughts directly as well as listen to your vision and to your thoughts. We can give you insights to what we the Lebanese people really want and aspire to, and think with you how all of us, hand in hand can pull Lebanon to a brighter future.

Sincerely,
Proud Citizen of Lebanon

Yeah, that's what he exactly needs to build on his reputation as a "strong president."
