عممت وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين استنادا إلى المعلومات الأولية التي وردتها من السفارة اللبنانية في باريس، نقلا عن وزارة الخارجية الفرنسية، أسماء خمسة لبنانيين كانوا على متن الطائرة الفرنسية المنكوبة التي فقد الاتصال بها خلال قيامها برحلة بين ريو دي جانيرو وباريس وهم: أحمد فوزي، بسام المر، حسين خليفة، صونيا المعلم وأكرم كو (لبناني يحمل الجنسية الكورية بحسب وزارة الخارجية الفرنسية).

A member posted a message here yesterday saying that his cousin who is a lady from Rahhal family was on that plane, her name is not in this list. Enshalla tkoun ghalat.

thx for ur concern tae.. what elnachra posted is not accurate( المعلومات الأولية). it was confirmed that she was on that plane... anw ull see her picture 2night on LBC news!

As of now the search continues. A brazilian airliner flying that route today reported seeing bright spots in the water, and then reports started coming in saying a Senegalese search and rescue ship found some debris, these were not confirmed.

New information came out from Air France that the ACARS (this is an automated system onboard the aircraft that talks with Headquarters automatically) sent alot of messages saying problems were on board. The autopilot had dissengaged, electrical problem, cabin vertical speed, cabin pressurization, etc.
