I have witnesses to everything I state below. So now fasten your belts:


When I used to work for the ministry of Information I WAS THE ONLY person who was not affiliated to any party. All the other 16 came from 14 March background. While I worked in a professional way and wanted things/news to be in an equilibrium and professional way, the others worked for the interest of their camp. I had enough hard time explaining that a ministry should not be politically affiliated, I had enough trouble confronting a huge team who hated me for not belonging to their camp, although I did not belong to the opposition either! No one understood that I only belong to all of them and love them equally, care about them but abhore all their Zaims who are dividing them!
Yes, this is my sinn, culpa mea that I did not walk with one camp against the other. May God be merciful with me because I have different values, I have human values, I never accepted Jumblatt killing the Christians, Aoun and Geagea's war and fall of the Christian canton, Hizbullah wanting a resisting society because I believe it is the job of the army only, I never accepted the internal wars between Lebanese with disregard of their religion, I abhored the killing and warlords. Yes I have a national view and feeling. Yes I am a true sinner.

My experience at the ministry of information:

I used to publish about Aoun and opposition because all the team only focused on the 3 presidencies (that's how they call it, president of republic, pm and house sppeaker) and March 14 news. If you check the news I published, it was 90% covering FPM and this was not because it was my task, but because I wanted to keep an equilibrium. I also defended the rights of independents and got a huge discussion because Laure Sleiman thought the ministry should not cover them because they are not important.

So Laure Sleiman classified people!!


And even Nasrallah's speech for example Laure Sleiman did not want it in English as she said: "Forget it, it will appear in Arabic and that's enough!" The Arabic section was already mad because Laure had told them to go home if Nasrallah doesn't finish early (And the Arabic section consisted of an AMAL affiliated who cursed Laure day and night because when it comes to speeches of 14 March politicians she asked them to wait till they finished even late at night because it was important to publish their speeches.) So there was id w ejer in the Arabic section too!
And me? Instead of listening to Laure, I waited till midnight to ensure that Hassan Nasrallah's speech is published, used to wait for the translation from the politburo of Hizbullah then re-edit it and publish it at 2:00 am in the morning. (Witness Fatmeh Terro who is also journalist at Al-Akhbar). I did all the management, resturtucturing and modernization (whether Word Bible, or Titles or endless things, I trained the staff on Microsoft 2007 as they had no idea about how to use the PC, I trained the team on editing news and how to report, what to use and which tools ). (Witness Patricia, Randa Rizkallah and all the arabic team)

Most used to spend their time on facebook while I was working. Some had assistants to write for them, so double costs for the ministry! How can a ministry give a job to people who cannot use a computer and require an assistant and build double costs for the ministry? This is pure corruption and the ones I am talking about are well-known in the ministry: A sister- in -law of a minister and the others two are unqualified people who had a wasta and stayed in the team and got daraje 2 undeserved because of wasta (one in the french section, the other in the English section).

The team was full of uneducated people whom Laure Sleiman brought as khedme to this or that Zaim (Khedme to Geagea, w khedme to Boutros Harb, w khedme to Jumblatt, w khedme to Mouawad w khedme hon w honik)! Almost all had no idea about editing and none was a journalist, two were translators however did not know anything about reporting.

I can go on telling you about corruption of this staff under the eyes and with the support of TAREK MITRI, for example when we did the inauguration of the new office, Laure Sleiman bought a golden frame with the names of the directors and ministers without getting 3 proposals, instead she ordered them from a relative of hers, then when the administration said she has to pay the sum from her own pocket because it was exorbitant (250$ per frame) while others would have done it for 150.000 Lira, Laure Sleiman called Hassan Falha the passive director to convince him to make a frame too and join all 3 bills together in order to protect her criminal deed of corruption. You want more???????????????

Laure sleiman used to send me on my PRIVATE EMAIL the speeches of Boutros Harb which were over 4 pages and wanted them translated only by me in full!!!!! I used to work till after midnight to cover the news on Boutros Harb. [] You are truely unworthy of having good citizens among you who defend your rights, whether 8 or 14: SHAME ON YOU!! Joumana Gebara always worked for your **** rights, for you to live in dignity, not under occupation, not ma7koumin bi sermeye ajnabye!!

I used to fight with the americans at March 14 office because they wanted to fight Aoun using March 14 Zou3ama. WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE ME?

I supported Aoun and FPM but did not expect their support, because I thought I was doing my job in a professional way and never knew that I will get problems. Today I do not expect anything from FPM, I expect from LEBANESE to be professional and everyone to stand to those who are victims. If FPM's values are: Defending the citizens' rights then they would defend mine and others, but if FPMs' values are:Defending the convenient for their interest then FPM lost everything it ever stood for.

Finally to the cowards in our society I say:
ABNORMALITY OF HUMAN BEHAVIOR MOVES FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION AND BUILDS THE GREATEST OBSTACLE TOWARD DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIETIES. And here I mean the likes of hannaalsayssa who is full of hate against Sunni and whenever I had a chat with him he cursed Sunni day and night without stating exceptions, hanna you are disqualified and void from any sense of humanity or citizenship. Same goes to Boiler who is void from human senses and whos posts are only egocentric. To joseph-lubnan I can only say: you are a [] big time and unworthy of a reply. To Ashrafieh_LF I can say that you are blinded by hate toward everyone who is not Geageaist.

Thank you for trying to put FPM in the right image I used to have about them, but actually you are the good person and few others around because you are good as a person.
The FPM officials all support me, with or without petition. People, except for MODs on this forum, do not represent FPM's position.

Joumana, I take it that you were a contractor for the MoI! if so, don't you usually sign a contract that details the conditions of the employment, i.e. working hours, paying period and frequency, etc. I am trying to see if such official documents are there why the court did not give you favorite judgement?[I know most of them are under political influence but few are left with some dignity]. I feel with your plight joumana and I really hope you get your money back. I don't understand why you stayed there when you were not receiving your paychecks.
Also if Laure is the boss , Laure gets to make the decisions and you as an employee you either follow or quit....There is not a single boss who accepts to be challenged whether they are right or wrong.......

It sounds like your bosses were very democratic if they allowed you to publish all this FPM/opposition news like you say when they were all M14 supporters! You should be thankful. Other news outlets aren't as democratic!

Again, how about a few answers huh? Lets start with the obvious:

1. How were you hired? consultant, temporary worker, full time employee etc...? and who hired you?
2. Do you have a contract? If not under what type of agreement did you work there?
3. If you didn't get paid, how did you ask for your salary for the three months you were there? Did you go to court, and what was the result?
4. Were you at some point let go, or fired?

If you cant clarify your issue and your plight, then why should anyone care?
