Petition against Minister Tarek Mitri - The Orange Room

Dear Lebanese fellowmen,

As you may know, I worked for the ministry of Information for almost 3 months and when I decided I cannot accept anymore working without receiving my salary, I went on TV and denounced the act of disconcern that Tarek Mitri and Laure Sleiman showed toward 16 employees. Some of those had been working since 6 months (December 2007).
I was assigned Head of Department and organized all the management, used to work overtime and on all holidays while all were having fun. At the end all got paid after my TV appearance while I got an arrest as a reward.

Till today I did not receive a penny from the Lebanese government.

I trust your sense of humanity and count on you to sign the following petition:

In the petition I ask for (1) jailing Tarek Mitri and Laure Sleiman, (2) paying me my salaries.

The petition will be presented to the Lebanese government and president.

why should i or any other person support you?
try to convince us for a start so that you’re not just another person who is trying to use FPM and mou3arada supporters for their internal fights with 14shbatt , just because your business went sour with them?

First I would like to thank a lot the Administrator and Moderators of the forum for their support.

Second a big thank you to every person who supports the petition and has signed it.

Finally I am thankful to those who have raised doubts and questions.

FAQ

(1) Why should you support the petition?

A citizen is asking for JUSTICE. It is obvious that the Lebanese judiciary system is not functioning properly. Would I have gone to the "Majles El Shwara" I would have not received a penny because I had no papers at all proving that I worked. Only due to a public appearance I was able to prove that I worked at the ministry of Information. And now the juridical system could have helped me but requires a waiting time of around 2 - 3 years and costs of a lawyer which exceed what I may get out at the end.
That is why I state that "anyone who supports JUSTICE to citizens, would support the petition".

(2) Why is the petition addressed against Tarek Mitri only while there are endless other corrupt people in the country?

In my scope of possibilities I can only denounce and prove Tarek Mitri for being corrupt, acting illegally and deliberately lying. However I would support and have always fought and supported any other victim of any kind of injustice, whether it is corruption, rape, violence, mobbing, land occupation, non-justified electricity bills, etc.
On the other side, multiple goals are not achievable and would make me lose the case, that's why I concentrated on one specific goal.

(3) Is Joumana Gebara requiring support only from FPMers?

I addressed all Lebanese fellowmen (see above) who share the sense of Justice, human rights and can differentiate between right and wrong, beyond political affiliation. I had no doubt that a lot of FPMers belong to this category.

(4) Is Joumana Gebara "abusing" the tayyar.org Orange Room forum?

The Administrators and Moderators act responsible and do not allow threads which may damage FPM or the forum. On the other hand, people who have a sense of JUSTICE and fought for JUSTICE all of their lives would not feel abused. People who possess values such as supporting others without awaiting a personal gain would always help without thinking of personal benefit.

(5) Is Joumana Gebara politicizing the issue?

I am asking for my rights as an employee and by coincidence the employment case took place in the ministry. However anyone affiliated to any party should be capable to denounce and condemn Tarek Mitri, even his wife and children.

Joumana, I suggest you go back to the old thread ( Joumana Gebara Arrested) started a while back and ANSWER a few of the questions that many asked you back then, before you come and ask for blind support. (you can read all the questions and answer them here since the other thread is closed)

Support for what? You have never provided one clear explanation regarding your presumed plight! As far as I am concerned there is nothing to support, and this forum shouldn't promote or propagate baseless accusations.
