In urban areas you would not necessarily have to go all the way... just go to a Latin church instead for mass and all...

It's probably harder to do in rural areas where I would agree with you... You can envision the 3andket village for instance converting to Latins and converting the church too ...

The Protestant movement in Europe was created in the 16th centruy as a response to clergy going against the faith, its people, and the church doctrine.

Well...no need for a similar movement now, just join the protestants (an official Lebanese sect) as a form of protest ...the fastest way to trigger the Vatican to interfere and attempt to bring back its congregation.

They do have 1 MP in beirut, controlled by FM. So, its 2 birds with one stone

RP, i don't think mass emailing would be a good idea...why? because the second LFers hear of it, they will resort to the same ol thing they do whenever there's sth involving the internet: each LFer would create 100 to 150 accounts and start sending emails to the vatican asking them to keep patriarch sfeir the great and ridding us of michel aoun, satan's representative on god's green earth :)

The only preoccupation of Sfeir is similar to any leader : POWER. If FPM wins the elections, he will remain with no power in the christian street and his word will not be respected !!!!

However, if the others (SG, BH, etc.) win, he will be the only christian leader since the others don't represent much.

It's a matter of power !!

Tseyeron Diab? what more is there to do? GMA always went up there to seek the patriarch's so -called "guidance" and even signed the document depicting the constants of the maronite church!! what more "Mseyera" is he expecting?
