I've heard that Byblos Bank and USAID are willing to donate, why don't we contact them and ask if they are willing to rebuild Fidar Bridge?

Dry Ice... it seems you believe everything you read from any source...

Iran, USA, KSA, Uk, Syria, Bank Byblos, Hariri, Sanioura, Wael Kfoury, Nawal El Zoghby, 2 Pac... all of them will build el Fidar bridge go and see the bridge... ba3do like the day it was destroyed... nothing happened, nothing changed...

WHY NO ONE MADE A SERIOUS MOVE TO HELP IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE FIDAR BRIDGE?

1) Because of the well known political affiliations in Kesserwan Jbeil
2) Because of the well known political affiliations in Kesserwan Jbeil
3) Because of the well known political affiliations in Kesserwan Jbeil
4) Because of the well known political affiliations in Kesserwan Jbeil

or

5) Because of the well known political affiliations in Kesserwan Jbeil

and please, don't try to ignore the second part of the thread, which is: IGNORANCE OF OUR DEAR GOVERNMENT!!

P.S:
about the bridge, the government is for all the Lebanese right? so let it work for all Lebanon, لأجل لبنان و لبنان أولا
So don't blame our MPs... blame their government! once again, this government doesn't represent me!

Rami, I don't know what you define as a serious move, but Byblos Bank has already subcontracted Dar Al Handassah to carry out the necessary studies and designs to rebuild the bridge, you know that's how engineering works - that bridge will probably take more than a year to get built.

Regards

Is this what you were talking about?

I thought you were saying no one took charge of rebuilding the Fidar bridge

Kindly share your estimation of how much time such a bridge takes to get build so we could set some standards and compare with the time Byblos/USAID will take?

I did not miss anything rest assured, by your account, the Government is probably falling short on its immediate responsibilities of the current temporary passage and they should hear more closely to what the local authorities (municipality) are saying as they know best the ground situation.

I was however commenting on how you protrayed the reconstruction Fidar Bridge as "not being taken care by anyone" while evidence points to the contrary.

Pay money for what? so Israel can come and bombard it once again?
The main reason the Fidar bridge got bombed from is still very much alive and kicking...
The issue is much greater than a bridge in Fidar or anywhere else for that fact.... The patchwork politics needs to cease completely and it's time for the Lebanese to admit that there is a cancer and it is very much metastized in their country and seek a cure.......
First we need to face the fact that we have a state within a state, then acknowledge that there's an imperative need to build a strong sovereign State ruled by a legitimate government, strengthen the Lebanese Armed forces and also, last but not least, truly implement 1559 and 1701.....
Then we can rebuild ...............

Regardless of the reason still present or not, there are people living there, our people. We need to help & push to achieve a solution for this problem as soon as possible. These people living there didn't commit any sin to deserve this.

Under the current government, don't expect anything positive about it. Those people can only steal us and divide us, they can never solve any problem we have. So until we have a real government that will deal with the roots of problems and solve them, better stick to helping the people at least to have the basics, and this push for rebuilding falls into that category.
