I asked them to try having a ta3mem from the ministry to avoid cancelled votes in case people write it with غ

Thanks
correct, beik is a lakab. However, Krikwar or Grigwar is a way of writing the name. IMO this shouldn't be a problem. But better to inform people of the correct writing.

We have already the list here Lebanese Elections 2009 - tayyar.org

This list has different spellings than the "METL MA HIYE" ad campaign... Look at Abou Jamra's name and Krikor Kaloust's name too.

Which spelling to take????

I'm not in Lebanon so I can't call the Minitry's hot line.

How are the two Armenian names really written? Is it a problem if it is not correctly written?

This is a major flaw in FPM's campaign!
ANY NEWS ABOUT THE SPELLING?

Why did FPM (and tashnag for Vrej Sabounjian) spell them differently in their ad campaigns???
Even ABOU JAMRA's name is spelled different!!

Will both spellings be accepted??

PLZ I need an answer fast. I have convinced a proMarch 14 to vote for us and therefore I am writing his list. He doesn't want to go to an FPM office or talk to FPM people outside the voting office because he doesn't want his family to know he's voting FPM... I need the correct spelling!!

Both spellings are correct, I just called and asked!
People who want to write themselves the lists, they will write them on their own lol, the important thing is to be clear

I'm saying that however u write the names is acceptable as long as there's no ambiguity with any other candidate.

W by the way, at the very least Sami Saab should have got the exact spelling of the candidates from the ministry of Interior. Watani managed to get them with ease. So how about FPM's media team! Positive criticism should be always accepted in order not to have such mistakes be repeated again, knowing they could have easily been avoided.

I am going to be a mandoub on Sunday and this is what I have been told from the coordinator in the training sessions. I personally asked him the question about the Beirut 1 billboards having names written other than in the Interior Ministry. His answer was: "It doesn't matter as long as there is no ambiguity with another candidate in the same district".

if a voter writes down Gebran Bassil (without Gergi or Estephan), would it be counted? or how is it dealt with?
