1) As reported earlier, Suleiman Frangieh — the leader of the Marada party, and a member of the Change & Reform Bloc — expressed his annoyance with the fact that Aoun has kept changing his demands vis-à-vis which portfolios would be granted to C&R.
Originally, this story was only reported in the pro-March 14 media, but Aoun himself made a scornful comment about Frangieh in his press conference yesterday, so I think that rumors of a rift between the two men are probably accurate.
2) Staunchly pro-Syrian former minister Wi’am Wahhab was on TV yesterday, expressly calling for Aoun to quit messing the Lebanese people around and take the deal that Hariri was offering, namely that Aoun’s son-in-law Gebran Bassil would become Minister of Energy rather than Telecommunications. Usually, when Wi’am Wahhab speaks, you can assume the message is coming from Damascus.
...
3) Finally, Nabih Berri is threatening to launch a one-man sit-in at the Parliament if the cabinet crisis is not resolved soon.
To sum up, then: Suleiman Bek, Wi’am Wahhab, and Nabih Berri are all getting fed up of the stalemate, and two of them have directed their ire at their own ally, Michel Aoun.
What do FPMers think of this?
Cheers,

anyway in reply to the thread
I doubt things are that way : GMA is bargaining and obtaining more important ministrial portfolios for the opposition in general , with each bargaining round....I doubt they are objecting.... | | | | | Registered Member

لو تعاون العماد عون مع الأمريكيين و الفرنسيين تحديداً لكن اليوم رئيس الجمهورية و صاحب نفوذ أكثر من الحريريين بأشواط. Quote:

Dudes, You are basing your whole discussion on something unreal. Sleiman Frangieh, Nabih berri and Wi2am Wahhab didn't say anything against GMA. The author of this thread is misleading you. GMA is talking in the name of the whole opposition, and he has their support, i don't see how Berri or Frangieh lost patience with GMA just because al-hayat, the saudi newspaper decided to throw its usual propaganda.
Some people aren't politically mature, and if you are being misled by such propaganda, that means you are not better than those who believe the Patriarch, the mufti or those who try to convince people that water is red. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Jean For This Useful Post: | | | Registered Member

This is tempting enough for Aoun to go on with his recalcitrance and petulance. I could imagine Berri sitting alone in parliament surrounded by all those trying to think that what he's doing must make some sense.
It'll be analysed to death by the papers and forum-goers to discover in the end what we have known all along: It's yet another comical scene in the first act of a trage-comedy.
I doubt wether people will care as much for his sit-in as he hopes. I, for one, would think the whole thing is either bad theatre or mismanagement of Berri's talents and I cant see how anyone could squeeze any heroism from it to jsustify its silliness. Quote: |

For Fellow FPM cool it down & ignore those 14makhlouta ,talk is cheap , and GMA is doing less talk as you all notice, he keeps the action speaks louder then words. .el 7a2 sultan.
