1) As reported earlier, Suleiman Frangieh — the leader of the Marada party, and a member of the Change & Reform Bloc — expressed his annoyance with the fact that Aoun has kept changing his demands vis-à-vis which portfolios would be granted to C&R.

Originally, this story was only reported in the pro-March 14 media, but Aoun himself made a scornful comment about Frangieh in his press conference yesterday, so I think that rumors of a rift between the two men are probably accurate.

2) Staunchly pro-Syrian former minister Wi’am Wahhab was on TV yesterday, expressly calling for Aoun to quit messing the Lebanese people around and take the deal that Hariri was offering, namely that Aoun’s son-in-law Gebran Bassil would become Minister of Energy rather than Telecommunications. Usually, when Wi’am Wahhab speaks, you can assume the message is coming from Damascus.

...

3) Finally, Nabih Berri is threatening to launch a one-man sit-in at the Parliament if the cabinet crisis is not resolved soon.

To sum up, then: Suleiman Bek, Wi’am Wahhab, and Nabih Berri are all getting fed up of the stalemate, and two of them have directed their ire at their own ally, Michel Aoun.

What do FPMers think of this?

Cheers,
QN
1) & 2) & 3) GMA is not "changing" portflios and "messing with the ppl" cause he just woke up early in the morning wihtout hearing birds singing and decided that he wants to change portfolios, and the poor kid Saaed ran up to him and said ok General whatever u want and the again the same thing next morning!!!!! DONT YOU THINK SO?????

what about the idea that mean old Saaed keeps telling GMA that he will give him this and that and then changing his mind?????

stories can be made up as you like so stop with the useless porpaganda. and whatever happesn the PERSON IN CHARGE for forming the gov is SAAD so if he is weak or uncapable let him resign and direct your anger towards him!!!!

i personally think Saad is in charge he is either up to it or not. the president has his word and let us see how good Saad is after he gets his orders directly from up ;)

QN

why are you always edgy?

no one has ever criticized HA in here?

Amal, SF maybe LOL.
some just said, that when al akhbar ( an HA paper) says that lf won the usj for example is soooooooooo wrong and misleading.
same as when close writers to some mou3arada starts saying that GENERAL is overdoing it..bla bla bla....

maybe you need to read carefully before you make a decision.

I personally beleive that the only component of mou3arada that is and will always back GENERAL is HA, the others will waiver or can not stand the pressure sometimes.

Who gives a rats *** if a government is formed or not?
And even if it is formed, will there actually be a difference?
If Berri really gave a shiit about having a government, why did he close the parliament doors for so long.
Or Wiam Wahhab, the syrian puppet really cares about Lebanon, the sovereign nation.

I see no harm in delaying still-birth, coz this anticipated government is a failure well before it ever begins.

What I would love to have seen, is Berri letting go of a portfolio he has had his hands on for decades.

I think Kifa Nabki deserves a ban... because he is clearly lying:

Fact 1: Aoun dismissed it in his last press conference and seemed at the contrary very relaxed for the relation with Sleiman Frangieh

Fact 2: I don't think Wiam Wahhab said that because I think we would have found it on every loyalist site.

Fact 3: This can be taken as a Berri game to make it seem it is the opposition who wants a government and Harriri is obstructing. However taking it the other way show's Kifa Nabki's intentions.

The thread title should be changed into:

"Loyalists trying to picture the Opposition as losing patience With GMA, with a brand new set of lies and fabrications"

Then this thread should be closed down. (Which will happen sooner or later anyway)
