From Jean Aziz's article today:
Please nobody come tell me if Jean Aziz is sure about what he is saying or whether it's true or not. I don't care because I KNOW dozens of similar and even more dangerous stories... So khallina mastourin bi hay!
And for those who sincerely care about our (if it's still ours) great movement, you are called to take a stance in that regard. You have no right to remain silent anymore vis-a-vis such attitudes by some "2orta" who want to call themselves "tayyar" bi ekhir hal zaman! | | | | | Administrator

I don't think any FPMer accept that, in fact the general feeling among FPMers is very dangerous, this is the status on facebook of a hardcore FPMer i know: Quote: | haydeh ekhrit l mni7 ..bti7miyoun bil 2006 ..byidba7ouk bil 2009...waynak ya general ti7meh shabebak | | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to X For This Useful Post: | | | Registered Member

X,
Don't you think that emotional reaction is a bit racist, meaning that it sees all Shiites as being one and the same as the killer?
(We protected them in 2006. They are killing us in 2009.)
Would the reaction be the same if it were another Christian (a LFer, say) who committed the crime?
That said, there can be no excuse for the Lebanese authorities not to arrest and try the murderer, regardless of his/her sect or the victim's. | | | | | The Following 7 Users Say Thank You to Bala Habal For This Useful Post: | | | Orange Room Supporter

I have another story very similar to this one and the proof are in the hands of the right authorities already...
A very close friend got assaulted in his house. It was one bad boy he had employed in a restaurant he owned in Beirut 3a 2ases mawneh from a close person of his. That boy pretended he was from the postal services and when my friend opened his door, he saw a gun pointed at his head. The boy took all his money, his ID and threatened him that if he doesn't get him a certain amount of money within one hour, he will kill his family and everyone he knows. The man took the money and went to the meeting place and took with him the police. They arrested the boy and placed him in prison. My friend raised a law case against him for this incident.
Very ironically, a very highly renowned FPM activist (I refrain from naming him here unless anybody dares challenge my credibility), his initials are M.M and he used to be a highly ranked committee coordinator in the region of Beirut, calls my friend every day (he even had no shame declaring his identity and even more dangerously dares speak in the name of FPM on the phone), day for over two weeks after the incident, "ordering" him to drop the law case because the criminal boy is an FPM supporter!
Tsawwaro ya3neh!
Luckily, my friend is an FPM supporter and a very high-profile cultural and economic figure in Beirut. He felt sad about the attitude of that so-called FPMer... My advice was definitely: "Don't you even think of dropping your legal rights!" | | | | | Administrator

That said, there can be no excuse for the Lebanese authorities not to arrest and try the murderer, regardless of his/her sect or the victim's. | Im just passing what the general feeling is, especially that this is not the first incident, "Samer Hana's incident" coasted us Batroun and even Koura elections, and the criminal got out of jail.
Since 2005, many incidents were reported about thugs from Chiyeh entering Ain el Remeneh and causing troubles, no action was taken to prevent the repetition of such incidents and a good man is now dead.
We can hide behind our fingers and pretend nothing is happening but some people like Bassam are refusing to do that, and since this Forum is for all FPMers, they have all the right to say whatever they want to say. | | | | | The Following 5 Users Say Thank You to X For This Useful Post: | | | Orange Room Supporter

and YES, I AM GENERALIZNG. | The thread is not about AMAL my friend. It's about a new low political attitude by FPM's members. It's not about Amal walla gheir Amal.
Check the story above and you'll get more insight.
And don't get dragged into emotional reactions... Tawwil belak no need for generalizations :) | | | | | Orange Room Supporter

I salute your great attitude and if at any place this threads drifts into "dirty" directions, I will be the first one asking to delete it...
Intentions are absolutely clean and clear.
And believe me, this message you just wrote returns a tremendous amount of honor that we've been losing from FPM's accounts... | | | | | Orange Room Supporter
