that's a problem... but one you can correct by getting more involved and proving yourself. No one in FPM is going to hand you the position... you have to earn it.

I know some candidates in FPM who couldn't even afford the application fee of $7000... still, they made it.

By being more confident that you could do as good of a job as any other male candidate if not better... and by wanting the position and starting to work and prepare for it early, not 6 months before the elections... again, you've got to earn it and you've got to prove yourself.

Great... but this is your opinion about yourself. How do you expect me and other FPMers to know about it if we don't see it or feel it? Many other candidates will say greater things about themselves... but how are we voters supposed to know who's actually a good candidate and who is not? that's why you need to work for it and prove yourself to us voters.

Everyone, male or female, has other responsibilities... you're not unique in that sense. It's a choice one, female or male, has to make... it's a choice that one has to want... and work for.

In the end, it's very unfortunate that Lebanon and the Lebanese have (intentionally or unintentionally) excluded at least half of its population from the pool of talents and resources from which we could be benefiting.

A country that selects only from half of its pool of talent can only hope to be, at best, half as good as it should be.

Seriously, you are correct about everything you just said but I have to be in Lebanon first to work and get involved in all the social work and then, maybe I will prove to myself and others if I am enough good to handle any ministry but for now, I have other personnal plans per example, moving to lebanon and find a job there and then in my time, I will probably get more involved. Maybe in 4 years, you might see my name somewhere, who knows. For now, its too late, I am not going to be present from now to 3 monthes, I will be in Canada working 70 hours per week.

FPM should nominate one or two female ministers in the next government.
It will be a good first step. They will become popular especially if they work hard like Jibran Bassil.
But in this case, they should have to wait for the next elections.
